Well there were I believe 66 pyl episodes that had a home player spin in it of those only 3 had a prize won 1, a man's fur coat which is one I used to have on my playlist 2, which I don't have on my playlist is a big screen tv 3 this one the only trip won on the home player spin one of my favorite places Rome also as it turned out it brought the victory for lovely Karyl also 2 connections with Karyl and my late father as said in the intro she was a smoker also she lived in Canada for 17 years daddy loved Canada
to guyverfan... GSN could not acquire ep 182... apparently the original tape was so badly damaged they were unable to convert it. they got an extra episode or 2 at the end of their run... (think they get ep 560 or something like that in exchange for not being able to get 182)
That question was royally messed up. Herbie was a Volkswagon Beetle, not a Volkswagon Lovebug. Surprised all 3 didn't get to come back after that screw up. How they came up with Lovebug as correct is beyond me.
At first I thought so too, in that the timing seems shoddy that it would go WAY down just in time for the Home Player win - but I think what really happened here was, up until now, the trip had involved a connecting flight from L.A. to Frankfurt, and THEN on to Rome. Thus, the costs/value were that much higher solely out of necessity. Whereas this time, it's a direct flight from L.A. to Rome.
I wish Cindy's second episode from #182 resurfaced. Surely someone recorded it during the original run. It will also answer one of the biggest unanswered questions in PYL history: Was Cindy really the biggest winner up until Michael Larson? And how did Jason Hernandez know she left with over $40,000?
I have not uploaded those episodes yet jonsea. with the exception of the Xmas and New Years eps i uploaded around the holidays i am uploading in order. i'm sorry but those eps won't show up till the end of my uploads.
Also i must say that,in regards to Karyl, have to admire somebody who wins with 3 whammies staring them in the face you KNOW that Karyl earned her cash and prizes because she toughed it out
I can't believe the dude said "Wendy's" when the question asked which fast food joint has the slogan "have it your way". I wanted to reach through the computer monitor and slap the dude. Just saying

Mike shows us why stopping the board right after it starts, is a bad strategy.
Anyone know what episode 182 was like?
Buzzr aired it a few days ago; it was pretty crazy. :D
It's up on the myPYL channel now

Today's special guest contestant: Discount Tom Skerritt.
Good Evening @ Mike Jeinkins...
I think this is only HPS game in which both the champion and the Home Player won a prize.
Nope -- Sheila won herself & Josie Strickling a Stereo in Nov '85
Sad they reduced the Rome trip amount...

Anthony Williams, it's not easy under pressure.

Mike Jeinkins, are you sure the original master for episode 182 is damaged beyond repair? For all we know, it could have been just GSN's copy.
I can't believe the dude said "Wendy's" when the question asked which fast food joint has the slogan "have it your way". I wanted to reach through the computer monitor and slap the dude. Just saying
You mean Lynn
The second it came out of his mouth, he knew he screwed up...
17:44 54/40 or fight. Anyone get that reference? Just curious.
That comes from the days of deciding the boundaries of the Oregon Territory, yes?
And 6 months after I typed my last post, Buzzr has shown episode #182!
