Love my '63. What a work horse. Work it relentlessly all spring and summer. Dependable, easy on fuel and a joy to use. I take every opportunity to use it!
For a small homeowner to do stuff around the house and gardening it’s the perfect all around tractor. Would have anything else lol. More i dig into the mechanics of these farmalls I realize how smart and waaayyyy ahead of time them IH tractors were compared to the fords and Massey and Deere of the time period
If only you could go back and get a hold of some of this stuff that was not that common and have it today! My first tractor drive and it is still here on the farm.
I don't own one, but after studying the differences between the different Farmall tractors. I have concluded the 140 is as close to perfection as one can get for a farm tractor. The final item that brought me to that conclusion is the fact that it uses wet sleeves in the engine. With just a little luck, it's a forever engine.
The greatest small farm tractor ever built!
