- Hi Everyone!
I got a lot of questions if I would like to explain what I am doing and what I am using. Because dutch is my native language, I find it difficult to tell exactly what I do. I can speak English but find it more difficult.
I'm also a self-taught artist, so I'm not a professional. I paint by feeling. I try to show in the video how I work and what I use. What I especially want to show is that Abstract art for me is mainly intuïtive. And if you don't feel like it works for you, keep trying! All those layers contribute to the end result!
At the end I will show you my tools and wich paint I have used.

The idea of "just letting it go" is something I've got to get better at. Even worse is when you sort of fall in love with something you created early on and then allow it to steer you the rest of the way. Both are very frustrating.

Yes...need the patience to struggle
So true. I am bad at allowing a part of a painting to become “precious,” and then running headlong into a block. It’s one thing to know that’s the problem, entirely another to “let go.”
I have seen this particular demonstration at least 5 times. The reason I came back to it was because I was stuck and needed comfort in watching how your painting was developing through endless struggle. Had it not been for struggle the magic of creation would have lost some of its impact, if not all of it. Thanks so much for the company :)

Loved watching you make this painting. The way you are happy to keep changing the image until you have produced something that you are happy with is really good. Layer upon layer to produce the effect you were happy with. Thank you for sharing your method

yeah quite the rollercoaster of creative emotion. it's very relatable and valuable to hear you think out loud through your process. i'm still at the point of trying to make everything perfect and experiencing deep disappointment when what's in my head doesn't translate to what's on my canvas, at which point i trash a perfectly salvageable canvas in frustration. i find your comments on letting go and marking to "loosen it up" are very poignant. i found this video frustrating, yet relatable and inspiring. thanks.

Can you tell me what the brand name and color shade of that pale green tube of paint is? It's what you used at the beginning of your painting and I absolutely love that shade!!

I understand that abstract painting is going with the flow of emotion at the time. What I dont understand is the 25 different paintings you did one on top of the other. You could screen grab shots from this video and fill an art gallery.
Hi, those paintings, those layers didnt feel right to me. I understand what you are saying. If I watch others paint I sometimes think, oh the painting is done and then they work on it further..but in my opinion they should have stopped at one point 😊 Thank you for asking❣️

Hi, All my tools that I use are listed under the video in the discriptionbox, but I did not use a pen..but the black lines in the beginning of the video is black charcoal. If you ment somewhere else in the video, could you please tell me at what time in the video you see me using the pen you are referring to? Thank you ❣️
How are you using oil pastels under acrylic paint?!?
Love yr work. How do you decide on the color palette. Why is yr spray bottle letting out white water.
Thank you❣️ I do pick one colour to start with and after that I just choose as I go. And the white spraybottle is an charcoalsealer.. not white bit colourless and my grey spraybottle is just water but when i spray it on the white, the white paint is still wet so it drips down the canvas and it looks like my waterbottle sprays white 😅

@@shalinivarma5550 Oh thats difficult for me to say to you.. Its how I feel about the painting. In the beginning I was not satisfied and I kept going untill I was happy 😊 But someone else can see it and think that they liked it halfway or maybe still doesnt like it now its finished.

Hi, yes most of the layers are dry when applying the next 😊

How many layers do you recommend?
As many as you need to feel the painting is finished. Maybe it is after one or two? But the layers add dept and are a part of the whole painting and the end result 😊

Is this the same painting you started with?
Yes 😁
You don't have to struggle for creating art.. You have to use what the paint gives you: stains, contrast, texture.. ..or being inspired by thoughts, words, ideas.. Unfortunately I see your paints and it does not give a sense of vibrancy.. Or a sense of interest.. You are too much focused on your technics.. Technics have to serve artists not having them struggling with their ideas of creation. Wish you good luck with this.. It's a long way to achieve finding your own signature.. Good work and good luck.
