I play Gogeta C, Beerus B, Base Goku A. It's a pretty good team in my opinion. With Gogeta C assist, not only can you get a free 236S with Beerus midscreen after a combo, but you can also get charges on Goku's Spirit Bomb. It also helps with Base Goku's combos since he struggles to get SKD without using vanish. Both Gogeta and Beerus can DHC into Spiritbomb from anywhere on screen and if you meter dump with 5+ Bars, each combo can do about 7k scaled. I still get mix with the whole team and Beerus B is surprisingly kinda good in the neutral.
The team allows me to play Gogeta which is my favorite character in the series as well as beerus which is the character I have the most fun playing in the game.

The team that took me to god of destruction was ALL neutral control. with 18 on point with barrier, Piccolo A and Tien A. I really like Tien's playstyle, he is my come back king, usually a 1 v 3 is far from impossible with him. 18 has the 17 mix which many players don't see coming, combine that with piccolo A and Tien A and you know they are going to try to super dash eventually. a good 2H game and insane patience is what this team does for me.
Having a good neutral is extremely important not just combos. I did casual matches against an opponent that was earthling rank and yet he squashed me even though he didn't do any powerful combos. I never felt so mocked before. I think I could beat him now because he barely even plays the game. Good defense neutral and good combos get you very far in ranked. I haven't gotten there yet but I know I will eventually.
I felt really validated when you picked that Vegito / Hit / Trunks example team first :D

definetively want N16 (rocketpunchassist), because i like to dunk people
Picollo i considered midsupport (homing orb) but i´m just not sure if he is a good pick for that slot (otherwise supervegeta .... or SSB vegeta maybe?)
finaly yamcha (beam or, DPassist) would be my fallbackcharacter from what i´ve seen he´s simply solid

I got this game 2 weeks ago I’m in demon rank I play with goku blue , gogeta, vegito in that order I can already tell it’s not optimal but I enjoy their characters especially gogeta his combos are so easy. But it’s been hard finding a good synergy of assists and how to use them.
My team is Piccolo, Tien, Yamcha and I noticed that now during my greatest period of growth started due to me experimenting with placement.
I will never swap because I'm only playing my favourite characters from the show but I will commonly switch Yamcha to the front, Piccolo to the back, Tien to the front or back, Yamcha mid etc, etc.
And I noticed this has just helped me overall build my competence and confidence with each team member in each position.
Tien and Piccolo aren't top tier anchors but are legitimately above average for the position and forcing them in the back deliberately has helped me get alot better I feel.
How's Bluegeta/Piccolo/Hit? Bluegeta seems kinda stubby but overall that seems like a neutral heavy team to me. Mixy point with two neutral chars. I dunno, my knowledge is lacking.
I also really like Bluegeta/Z Broly/Baby.

I main adult gohan because he’s always been my favorite character. I’m not a tier whore though. My team is Kefla, goku black and adult Gohan. Sometimes I run janemba or trunks anchor.
as someone who is constantly in character crisis, any info on this topic helps. Just cant bring myself to be another goku, goku, goku player.

Whats your opinion on. Teen Gohan, Blueku, and Jiren? I've been going through the cast finding characters I like the Play style of and Teen Gohan and BlueKu are definitely what I like. I'm just struggling on my third not sure who to use.

Videl has very bad defense and she doesn’t have a reflect. She does good with the category LK talked about in “double defensive assists” so any DP assists, or 18 barrier assist. Honestly man, if you’re not looking to compete; just play characters you have fun with.
Hey Lk! I think dbs brollys B assist is highly underrated. It covers the same angle and space as gt gokus A assist beam.
It's not underrated at all, some people pick S Broly just for that assist.

WHAT I want to do is have a bit of a mix team but still put on a lot of pressure can those characters do that?
But how do you know what character gets what from what assists? Like he said that certain assist helps teen gohan with mix, How?
You learn your characters and test it out in training. There's a lot of resources whether it be youtube videos or discord which goes over characters mix options. You learn those, then go into training mode with your team and figure out what works and what doesn't work. This is why knowing basic frame data is important.
For example, in order for Gogeta to get his rekka mix, he needs an assist with 25 frames of blockstun or more. Otherwise, the opponent can reflect, dp, or reversal super out of the mix. Knowing this, you look at your team and think about the assist each character on your team have.
Let's say you're running Gogeta with Roshi B assist and Broly A assist. Roshi B assist has 46 frames of blockstun meaning he gives Gogeta his mix. But on the other hand, Broly A only has 21 frames of blockstun meaning the opponent will be a gap in your mix where the opponent can reflect and get out.
I hope that makes sense.
Yeah, Assists typically can help you in a few specific ways, so you look at your character and look for what they need.
Some have an easy time getting in, but they need high blockstun assists for mixup and keeping pressure.
Some don't, so they need neutral control assists to get in (beams, lariats, beam-likes).
Others don't have ways to keep pressure after knockdown. So you can have a DP assist to cover the wake-up options or to get in again.
Just play the characters that you like and mostly importantly have fun

@@jdrmanmusiqking I mean, that’s kind of a good way to approach a team for people who are totally new. Find a character you like as your main, then pick another character that meshes with the play style that suits your main, then finally pick one with an assist you like. Make them (I think) anchor, point, and mid, respectively. Boom - a place to start, at least.

Also is SSJ Vegeta A still a really good defensive assist? I heard most of its nerfs got focused on making it worse for offense moreso. Kinda deciding between it and vegeta's C assist 🤔
I made a video on these in season 2, but there are way more assists now.
How would you rate frieza A assist then, it's not a beam like, not defensive and not an anti air either? It's just a big projectile ?
I'd say it's okay at best it does better in the corner because it always has a set spot for where it goes. Combing it is easier mid screen since season 3s hitstun buff and I would experiment more with it and totally try his B and C assits. Frieza isnt a bad mid or Anchor especially with the golden and spark limit break changes.
It's a blast assist, it is a pretty uncommon type of assist. Frieza A used to be ridiculous but they nerfed the blockstun ;;. It's a good assist still.
How about this team:
Point, Bardock (A)
Mid, Yamcha (A)
Anchor, GT Goku (A)
The reason why I picked this is 'Cause I heard Bardock was a good point character and GT Goku is a good Anchor, and I'm sure Bardock would benefit from a block string assist and an upward beam assist but that's it.
I really wanted to play Bardock the best he could be played while also keeping Yamcha and GT Goku cause I like those characters.

Back to this video, say I wanted 16 17 and 18 on a team, with 17 as point. which order would I put them in (I’m willing to trade out 16 if need be, I just like androids)
I’d personally run 18, 17, 16, and run 18 B, 17 A, and 16 B. That being said 17 works well with 18’s barrier assist and 16 is going to be your best anchor as he’ll have the best chance of opening up opponents solo.

LK, what do you think about all defensive assist team? Like 18, Cooler, UI etc
Bad. You can make it work but there isnt enough versatility.
What you gain from Major defense and extra Defense assists, you lose in Flexibility

Edit: I thought Kyden used this team against Wawa but I was wrong. It generally seems that 1 dp assist is enough for 18 but I still see the positives in using a defensive team. Youre not wrong about the lack of flexibility though
If you want a team that has good functionality I've been messing with bardock base Vegeta and trunks

Tbh I would run 18 B assist, beam like that gives some neutral control and can combo. when you already have 2 dp assist, or dp barrier kamehameha.

Need help, the team I like to use is Android 21(A assist), and janemba(a assist) as an anchor, but not sure who to pick for point, for now I use beerus (c assist) but considering others, can anyone tell me how compatible Android 17 or any other points would be for this team?
Janemba is a really good point character; id advise against running him anchor. Move him to point and try out some characters. Example of anchors would be gt goku or trunks, or either of the ssj boys.
Janemba A is a top tier assist for 21, and also Jamemba is rising as an anchor due to his solo neutral game and his 50\50 after lvl3 in tthe corner. Characters that can alternate on point and mid and have good sinergy with 21 are Bardock and Goku Blue, and also these two have amazing stagger pressure that works well with Janemba A assist and solo pressure. So try : Android 21 A \Bardock B\Janemba A or Goku Blue A (it's fantastic for 21)\Android 21 B (it's easier to confirm Blueku 214L with it)\Janemba A
This should work as all of this assist are top tier for 21 and don't think thatt much about Janemba as he plays pretty much solo (think of him as the new SSJ Vegeta)

Just have Beerus as Anchor, or 21. Beerus needs Meter to do his cool shit, so you need a character to act as a battery to make him meter

Gogeta has issues when he's by himself so most of the time you want to play him point, A assist is probably the best
A gohan has pretty much always been played mid since this game came out. His most used assist is by far is a assist. He also has the option of a c assist beam.
A21 probably functions the best solo so she goes anchor. I have never seen any professional player use any other assist besides her A assist so that's probably what you want to use.
If you want to learn gogeta you can watch some games from wawa
Adult gohan you can learn from watching Kazunoko and Wawa
And for android 21 SonicFox has been playing her alot this season. Hope this helps.

Thanks guys. I was playing 21 point, gogeta mid and A gohan anchor as combo extensions with 21 is very easy, confirming pretty much every hit. The main trouble I am having is A gohan anchor as I cannot play his neutral game.

Gogeta isn't a good anchor. He needs assist in order to enable a lot of his mix and to help him in neutral since his buttons are slow. Yeah he have beams as ki blasts but they have so much recovery that it's not hard to evade them. Gogeta is best point and can sometimes play mid depending on the team.
Gogeta with Bardock B assist is a really good mixture since Bardock B has a lot of Blockstun, it allows Gogeta to get off all his mix options with minimal risks. If you don't know his mix options, I can link you a video that goes over a lot of his mix. I don't know much about the synergy between Gogeta and Hit.
If you want to play these characters, I would play Gogeta with A assist at point, Bardock with B assist at mid, and Hit with either A or B assist in anchor.

I dunno. I play a seemingly unconventional team with kefla point, gogeta mid with anchor trunks. It's been working for a while but maybe the order can be better
That order is pretty good actually. Out of the 3, Kefla gets the most help with assists so putting her point is an ideal spot. Trunks has some mix and he eats up a lot of bar, so he's a decent anchor.
It all depends on what assists you’re running, what’s the assists you chose for kefla, gogeta and trunks?

I mean you can use characters that go into any team such as Yamcha, SSJ Goku, SSJ Vegeta, Trunks, Goku Black,and GT Goku. Kefla and Vegito both get a lot from Android 18’s barrier assist.

@@icycjanto trunks wouldnt have synergy with baseku for his spirit bombs. I actually have pretty much the same team but its point Teen Gohan mid S Broly and Baseku anchor. I would say he should go like Kid Buu, Teen Gohan, cell, A Gohan, GT Goku, Z Broly, or any other mid that synergizes with baseku.
@@ricniclas I'm not used to using dp assist, even though I have been using Cooler for a while who has a dp assist. So I'll go with SSJ Goku because I know how to use a beam assist effectively. Thanks for the advice.

I just threw together my favorite characters beerus cause hes awesome piccolo cause hes awesome and baseku because this is the only dragonball game where his hair looks awesome in that order if there were a ssg goku trash or not he would replace baseku.
