- Welcome to today's renovation of an old cannon, which was made by my friend's father more than 60 years ago. As it served as a decoration in the garden, where it had been raining on the cannon for many years, it fell into disrepair.
This video is only a restoration of a historical object and does not in any way endorse the weapons, their use or possession.
If you have any information, you can share it with others on my Facebook page:

If you have any questions about the process, use machines or other things, ask me in the comments. I try to answer everyone and as soon as possible.
I'm sorry for my bad English, it's not my language.
I'm uploading videos about restoring mechanical things. I'm uploading videos about the restoration of old wooden things. I fix things as best I can. I am self-taught. Therefore, if some procedures are wrong, forgive me. Thank you.

Wow, with all that rust flakes that came out of the barrel, you increased the caliber a lot!
:-D
Great job, I would had given in at these wheels, they seemed that much gone, but you brought them back nicely!

Those square nails are from the 1700’s - 1800’s pretty cool
This cannon is a circa 1970 replica
I would never found those long screws. I learnso much from you and your beautiful wife. USA granny
Sono felice, grazie Joan :)
I thought there would be no way the wheels could be saved but holy cow you did it
Greetings from Petersburg!
Wow! Radek, you have no idea how useful a thing you now have. First, she is beautiful. Secondly: you can’t even imagine what discounts open in stores when you take such a thing with you. And to make chops, she generally has no price. You load 0.5 kg.tenderloin, one shot and that's it. The chop is ready. What next? Veronica knows what to do next.
:-D

@@VeradonaRestoration 👋
A pile of rusty iron and rotted wood transformed into an expertly restored relic. Thank you for another great restoration.
Thank you so much Neil :)
What a old cannon
Sweet Job
Thanks Carlos :)
Outstanding result.
Thank you :)
What a tremendous amount of work to restore this canon. You're such a wonderful artist and your hard work brought this canon back to life. Thank you for an incredible video. And thank Veronika for the explanation at the end of the restoration. She is a beautiful model and always does very well. Blessings to the both of you. Stay safe. 😊👍👍👍
Thank you so much Chuck :)
Good to see the old wheelwright's tricks using the curved offcuts as supports - ansd a sanding block!
Wonderful job, really thought the wood was totally beyond any salvation. Marvellous carpentry skills in laying in the new wood. Veronika, excellent piece to camera. I noticed with the cannon firing the men were not to be seen while brave Veronika ignited it 😉
There's just something about a woman in uniform 😍 💕
Thak you, Veronica :)
OMG..!!!, preparing weapons already??? 😂
Excellent reconstruction of the wheels, I have seen the complex construction of them.
Nice explication, and the most important, it´s works.
Not yet ... Thank you Aldo :)
Many years ago a friend and I built a cannon that was a little bit bigger than this one. We had a lot of fun making it and used the barrel off an old anti-aircraft gun that was being scrapped off a ship.
👉👍😉🤗
I like it... What else can one say. And the bonus was shooting it as well. Thumbs Up!
Thank you Gary :)
That's a lovely Cannon
Thank you :)
At the end I started to think: "nah, he's not gonna shoot it..." and you did! 😁
Holy crap! Strap in, this is gonna be a great video!!
😀😉👍
OMG that's gonna be amazing. I found parts from our civil war 1861 +1864 I soon much enjoy your talent for restoration thank you
Thank you so much Billie :)
Great work looks fantastic.
Great job sister that looks really good I mean to put back history is something that is ways of we work wonders on wood to put things back together again excellent job
My father made a cannon, actually two; he was a tool and die maker. One was a mini cannon (that shot!) and I still have that. The other was a bigger cannon. He and my grandfather mounted it to a structure like the one in the video. After much alcohol later, they decided to test it. Safety in mind, they shot it towards a hill with a wooded area (no inhabitants but for birds and deer). They had a lot of fun shooting the cannon. Later, my grandmother found what they shot: her newly painted picnic table. Let's just say, both my grandfather and father got a chewing out.
Much alcohol makes men into boys. 😂
Wow, thanks for your story. We didn't use the projectile for safety.
That's hilarious! Poor table... a casualty of war... 😂 and I bet the deer were five miles away before the echoes died away!
Very cool object, well done. 👍👍👍
Thanks :)
Good evening from Southeast South Dakota
Thank you :)
Very nice. I would love to have couple made out of solid oak, and shining brighter then a diamond.
With brass trim
That went with a Bang friend, great restoration, look's brilliant, have a nice day !!!.🔥🔥👍👍.
Thank you Brian :)
Excellent work. I have been a hobby woodworker for many years and had an opportunity to work several months for a friend who builds and refurbishes horse-drawn vehicles including wagons, carriages, sleighs and buggies, We rebuilt a pair of much larger cannon wheels from a US Civil War battle field. "Sweating" the iron tires on the wheels was quite an experience as each wheel weighed about 200 lb. Thanks for sharing your work.
Wow, thank you for your story Thomas :)
Awesome restored. Thanks
This is a first. I love the fact it was built by your father's friend and not intended for firing. Great restoration.
Brilliant restoration you saved your history and heritage from rust for generations to come Brilliant
Thank you so much Gaynor :)
While the repairs were not period accurate, the result speaks for itself, well done!
As an American🇺🇸 and a Texan I have an appreciation for firearms and other things that go boom, bang, pow and pop. Beautiful restoration of a classic cannon. I am surprised that you were able to salvage most of the wheels. Impressive!!!!!
The carriage for the cannon is beautiful.
Thank you very much for the recognition. I am glad that you liked the result of our work. Greetings from the Czech Republic.
great job! the wheels are a real puzzle. Hugs
Thank you Mario :)
Terrific craftsmanship !
Thank you Woody :)
Great restoration. It fire really nice.
Thanks :)
Impressive restoration and even more admiration to the people who built it all those years ago without the use of power tools
Yes, thank you :)
Apenas uma palavra: " Maravilhoso" Congratulações...
Obrigado :)
Thank you very much for sharing great video
Thank you so much :)
Great job in getting it to look like new
Thanks Stacey :)
Very nicely done as usual. Just enough new material to restore it. Glad that you preserved all those old handmade square nails and especially those special curved U pins on the axles. With that coat of arms cast into the barrel, I wonder if that was a real old antique thing.
Thank you. This is a replica made around 1960.
I love the story that goes along with all these pieces, both while you're pulling it apart and at the end.
Thank you so much :)
Really lovely to see that old girl fire again.. great restoration.
Thank you Trisha :)
Wow !!! 😳 What a accomplishment .....it is beautiful !!! And it shoots double wow 😳😳!! What a beautiful part of history restored it looks AMAZING !!👍👍
Thank you so much my friend :)
I would replace all the woods pieces. Nice job!
Thank you :)
I thought the wood was trash, but you saved most of it! I like your solution with the sandpaper on the curved block.
Great restoration
Thank you Andrew :)
🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹 very awesome. And it fired also. Amazing achievement.

You can do it all. I like the wire brushes mounted in line with the cannon barrel.
Thank you Wiley :)
That is freaking awesome! What a labor of love! You definitely gave your client his “bang for his buck”!!
it was made by his dad.
Thank you so much :)
Wow unreal man best one you have done yet you should be proud of that

Beautiful work, I have a smaller US Civil War replica cannon that needs to be restored.
Wow!!!!!!!! Awesome job.

You out done yourself on this one. You have always done some great restoration but this one has topped them all.
Thank you so much :)
So small! I thought - toy))))
Jsi úžasný!
Díky :)
Unbelievable! The restoration was amazing. The fact that you could still fire it, blew my mind. What an awesome job.
As always, I enjoyed watching Radek and admiring your skills. Thank you for sharing. 👍
Thank you for your views :)
What an amazing restoration once again. Long live you both!
Thank you Shahid :)
Wonderful workmanship and attention to detail. 😁👍🇺🇸
Amazing, beautiful restoration. I was just stunned when you reused the old wood, but how lovely it looked when you were done.
Thank you so much Jill :)
Great restore!
Thanks Joshua :)
Another great job! I'm always amazed by the amount of original material you keep. I remember you grafting on new wood to an original part before. I wouldn't even think of doing that - I would just make a whole new part - but then I'm not as talented as you are. Again, great video and thanks for showing that it still works.
Thank you so much Harry for the beautiful words, I really appreciate it :) Radek
I was looking fwd to see your wife explain and try it out. Well done to all of you, that thing was rotten in places and there you brought it back to life. Amazing!
Thank you so much Brian :)
Great job my friend...
Thank you Brian :)
Wonderful restoration, again. Nice cannon. Veronika and Radek, thanks for your work, patience and time.
Thanks for watching :)
Great video, thanks for sharing!
Thank you Chris :)
I thought that both wheels were too rotten to be used again. Also the undercarriage. But you did a great job restoring the little cannon. Well done. 👍👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺
Thank you Cathy :)
@@jachymchyna7023 To mě těší, děkuji :)
I can see they are hand forged nails, and from what I personally have seen of your restorations, I know you will do it justice for what it is. Please keep doing what you do. Too many things get thrown away, when we can give them a little bit of attention, and they’re just like new. I admire your skill and patience.😊
Thank you very much for your comment! It's great to know that you took the time to write to me and share your impressions. Thanks again for the kind comment, I appreciate it!
