I think world was really well optimised for its graphics it ran better for me on my shart pc than games like overwatch@@an0bserver2000 so hopefully it shouldnt be too bad

Kinda interesting how, though this guy, Chatacabra, I think uses the Monkey skeleton despite being an amphibian.

Blonde girl already has my heart. Also, did you guys notice our palico speaking and our hunter, too? I wonder if both male and female will have a predetermined voice, just so they fully voiced cutscenes were possible. The GS moves look so fun, and weapon swapping is real!!! Gonna be using GS and LS, the two brother blades. Lesss gooo
Edit: also at 1:15 mini leviathan sighted. Leviathans high possibility now!
You can kinda see it with the head, as it's very very flat, and shaped like a lagi's as you said, but I have a feeling it's either Juvenile of a new oasis dwelling subspecies, or a small monster that's a distant relative of Lagiacrus, maintaining the general frame, but swapping power for general survivability in a watering hole.
I wonder if there will be any voice customisation, they wouldn't necessarily need additional voice actors as they could pitch the voices up or down in post-production.
@K3b1bisLtu perhaps, but seeing as they will speak during hunts, highly unlikely
@theorangeman9147 it is a small monster, but the fact that they feel confident enough to showcase it could mean they're just teasing us with large leviathans. Hopefully we'll see more at summer fest.
Yeah that baby croc looks very Lagi-like. I did notice the palico talking, hope its not tooooo cutsey
At 2:40 it looked like the hunter used a wire from the slinger to pull himself towards the monster, so maybe they took some inspiration from the Wirebugs and incorprated an additional movement option into the slinger
they did, from the website : The hook slinger is the newest evolution of the slinger, allowing you to gather all types of materials from a distance.
It can be used while mounted on a Seikret, and can even be used to interact with certain environmental objects or trigger traps.

@@zepicklejho106 yeah when it's slowed down it is the hook my bad, ngl tho it really doesn't stand out (especially since most reactions I've watched no-one has mentioned it) or seem necessary at all but if they're adding it nothing I can do bout it
@@VibinSealz you say that like it's a bad thing. I'd love if Wilds had more movement similar to Rise/Sunbreak, I loved the faster pace of that game compared to World
I love how they brought back the slinger it's a amazing addition
i loved how it interacted with environmental hazards like falling stalactites and stuff, super happy to have that back

@@heyimurchin6575 yep, on the official website they call it hook-slinger or smt similar (I usually read the Spanish version) which let you grab things on the move while mounting.

@rurijo3169 for sure Gemma is little miss forge, blonde hair, blue eyes, a blue hair tie, the kut-ku doll from the guild marm, Caravaneer's jacket as seen with the symbol on the back, and the fact both Gemma and Little Miss Forge are Smithies-

I had this playing in the background while Hunting Pokaradon and lost the hunt cause I started freaking out as soon as I heard Wilds
The combat is especially the most exciting so far!
I'm very interested to see how the Focus mode works
what I'm surprised with is that (who I assume to be the stand in for our character) is actually speaking instead of constant nodding
As long as its not super cringe, I prefer it this way
I like the standoff with the blocking in Great Sword at the end, seems like something that was only possible in cinematic trailers before

Wasn’t expected but I’m not complaining! I love the new amphibian monster, seems it will be very goofy. The new fanged beast I’m not 100% there on yet, but I feel when I eventually get to fight it I’ll enjoy it.
I was actually predicting they were gonna show the flagship in the first proper trailer, but they didn’t. Though maybe they’re saving that for SGF as it’s the main big one?
I just woke up to this trailer just being there. This is a good day.

Mayyyybe, looked like there would be a deeper story in the trailers for quite a few MH games that turned out to be mostly about the hunts anyways
@@frenchbloo true but in sunbreak there was much more emphasis on the characters and storie then any other game. It felt like they had a purpose instead of just being npc

@@imsirnootnoot I mean trust mean man I hope they delve more into the plot with this one just as much as you (as long as it does not limit us in hunting what we want when we want if you see what I mean).. But if you stick a bunch of Sunbreak cutscenes together, it could make the game's story look much deeper and more developed than it really was.... So I'll stay wary until we get a more concrete look on the plot ^^'

I'm calling it right here, opening scene will be a callback to 4u's opening scene.
A great sea of sand in, what's potentially, within the opening credits.
A potential return of characters from 4u, be it referencial, or just aged versions of them (Gemma, the smithy, being veeery similar to Little Miss Forge, I.E. Yian kut-ku plush, hair color, eye color, goggles, hair tie color, the fact she's a smithy, etc...).
We getting at least one of the Mohran's!

Gemma may also very well be Little Miss Forge, but all grown up, given the Caravaneer's jacket, the facts she's both blonde with blue eyes and a blue hair tie, fit with her bing a smithy.
Either it's a maaaaassive coincidence, or it is just the same character, but older.

Seems I was right on the lion monsters, but unless there's another it doesn't seem like it'll be like me or Moy's (sound controlling manticore that mimics human voices to lure prey) idea. Pity
Does anyone feel like some of their outfits have too much of a "modern" look to them? Specifically the two girls in the beginning? Those glasses... Feels weird...

Btw idk if anyone noticed, that gator isn't a gator. That's a baby Lagiacrus, it becomes clearer when you take a closer look at its anatomy, so fingers crossed Lagiacrus is in.
Mayhaps a small monster distantly related to a lagi, or a juvenile version of a subspecies.
Notably, it lacks any noticible indentations of his iconic spikes on his back, which would be at least somewhat present with juvis I feel.
I feel like it's just a close relative, like a monoblos is to a diablos, though with a way bigger size difference. It also kind of reminds me of a ludroth.
@@theorangeman9147 Could be cope on my end but it’s possible that it has a more dull coloration as a juvenile and grows the nodes with age.

The graphics are nice, but it looks very generic so far. It lacks the MH aesthetic.
Your eyes clearly need to be checked. The MH aesthethic exists alive and well in this game.
Yeah I agree, I really don’t get the heavy LUTs used in all these modern games. Makes everything look like a Netflix show.

@@emblemblade9245 short for "look up tables". it basically detects the color of a pixel, and applies a mathematical formula to it to alter the color and get some desired outcome. it's used for color correction

LUT is short for "look up table" and it's basically a mathematical algorithm that detects the color of every given pixel on a screen and applies a formula to alter it's color to some desired result. it's usually used for color correction. if youve ever seen a movie that looked overly washed out, or was generally gray, drab, or too dominated by a single color, it's usually because of mediocre color correction using LUTs. not to say that those things are inherently bad or that we shouldn't use them, i just personally don't like the choices a lot of these artists are making these days.

It looks like a regular croc, but when looking closer its a baby lagiacrus.
@thecod2345 pretty sure thats just cope mate. It doesnt have any of the shell shockers Lagiacrus uses to discharge its thunder, its green-ish instead of the blue Lagiacrus is known for, and its far flatter than lagia and lacks the distinct cobra hood Lagiacrus is known for
@@IndominusRex-wc1ey Admittedly the shockers aren’t there and it is a more muddy color (fitting since yk it’s in murky waters). However the hood definitely is and the coloration we do see aligns in very places. Could very much be cope but it seems similar enough to Lagi that being a juvenile isn’t out of the question.
@thecod2345 I mean the nail in the coffin against your argument is that the Windward Plains (the site confirms the name of the area) is NOT a fluvial environment (as you and me both know, Lagiacrus is nothing if not a wayer-based monster). The ponds of the Windward Plains in no universe can sustain the twenty three meter titans that are Lagiacrus
@@IndominusRex-wc1ey That is a damning point. Maybe it could just be a smaller relative that hints towards Lagi being in a fluvial area, maybe a lake but that’s all guesswork. If it were to be Lagi my best guess would be it having to run from oasis to oasis until it reaches the coast but that’s also a big stretch.
