I don't think Joyce is actually slow. It's the tempo he chooses. Part of the reason he's good at staying fresh the whole fight. When he steps it up a gear he can throw quick shots

Jennings is frustrating to watch he looks like he can do so much more but doesn’t , maybe all the sparring he does in other fighters camp have had a negative effect of his performances.
Luke Patterson He started boxing so late, he hasn’t had a lot of amateur experience either. He’s quite athletic

Hmmmmm it depends if dubois can keep composure and is fit enough. Dubois is much faster and will get Joyce's attention with every punch . He will win on the exchanges. He just needs to keep composed and he'll win the fight easy enough. If dubois gets too eager and goes for ko early then it'll be trouble. Also if dubois gets caught and retaliates too erratically . I got dubois on points in a competotive fight . Some bookies offering 7/1. Yes please

I love joyce hope he can do something big out there but his tactics seems to be: If the opponent has his fists in my face he can't block or move away at the same time from my fists.

This is not a good fight. Joyce manages grind out and overwork a largely unmotivated opponent. Not seeing much to be inspired by here. Dubois is going to destroy this guy.

Joe needs to build some stamina. Not just road runs (never EVER next to busy traffic) but bike rides. Carl Froch built massive stamina through that in the build up to his fight with George Groves. (Again NEVER near busy roads).
Yeah, I think that's good advice. He could try pulling a car strapped to his back like Foreman did, however, Foreman was super-human.

@ he offered Ortiz the fight and Ortiz wanted to fight on Wilder-Fury I undercard instead. Hence Whyte facing a better and more proven opponent in Parker.
That was a pretty good fight imo, 9th round was the round of the fight imo.. Joe was throwing more and pushing forward, while Bryant was more accurate, at least from my point of view.
Joe has technique but too slow. He has good punch output but he doesn't go for knockout he just box. I don't know how he's gonna beat Dubois if he fights like this

Did Joe Joyce give up his WBA gold title? My understanding is that the current holder, Robert Helenius, is now mandatory for the super title. So did Joe give up the chance of a final eliminator to go and fight Daniel Dubois? Seems like bad management, if that's the case.

I've said that for a long time now but too many people still diss him for 'being slow" but it's just his style that makes him appear slow.

Dubois didn't have a plan b, and just expected his 1-2 would do the same to Joyce as it had to the others he had KO'd, but Joyce was made of sterner stuff.
He will get beaten by Usyk if they rematch though, because Usyk isn't a stationary target like Dubois.
