I sold my MPCs (both Live 2s) to move to an Ableton/ Launchkey 37 combo. This a great day for MPC users. Every time I see an MPC of any kind. I seem to want one because the MPC is just hip hop IMO. But I think an MPC with more under the hood will be needed to make the most of standalone stems. It may take a while, but that day is coming. When it does come, I'll be the first in line to buy that MPC. Thanks for the vid. Keep up the great work.👊🏾

I just want to make sure that you could've chopped up the entire sample, THEN create the stems and have the chops in each stem. I know this was able to be done in controller mode. Dope, DOPE video and beat bro!

FYI for the FYI… You have to hit process if you want to preserve the chops across the stems.. and uncheck trim samples on the bottom right 🎉

Stem separation in standlone is terrible, the stems sound is real bad..
Definitely not as good as the Desktop version for sure.. Hopefully it'll get better over the next update or so..
Akai needs to stop. I understand it's about business, but in 2024 processing power, and ram should not be an issue. Constantly introducing machines with a slight bump up and processing power. Also Ram.
Smdh. I don't care about new machines. I would much rather have a stronger system. We would pay for it in the 1990s we paid $4000 for a MPC 4000. I'm not saying they should charge that much. All I'm saying is that they can't use the price as an excuse. The new stems feature sounds horrible on the standalone because of the processing power come on now.

Quality took a hit for sure. Only so much you can do with 2GB RAM compared to a M1 Mac. Hopefully it gets better over time. I'm hyped about creating music! Its a blessing!

There's a "piano" icon you can tap (where you'd select what type of track you want) and load up a "key group" instrument.
