Love you two and your videos! I laugh out loud, every damn time!! .. Love RC planes because of my dad.. I could possibly afford a few of these planes but its the transmitter that puts me out of the running..

If the Tx is the issue, look at the Radiomaster Boxer. I love mine and it will easily work with this plane. I use it with my E-flite Cherokee 1.3m and it is fantastic. Will soon be using it with the T-28 Trojan 1.2m with retracts. The Boxer has 16 channels and is well under $200. A bit of programming but there is so much help out there for EdgeTx that it will be easy to setup a plane.

@@robertbraun7155 You don't have to buy a brand-name transmitter that all the pros are using. You can buy a cheap Flysky Transmitter or Radiolink and they will work perfectly fine. Matter of fact they have a better range than most of the main brand radios like Spektrum. I was flying with a 35-dollar Hobby King 6-channel radio for 5 years before I bought my Futaba. All the modern 2.4ghz radios work great, even the cheap ones. The Flysky FS-i6 ^-channel radio for 47 dollars works like a charm. 1000s of people use it with no issues. Taranis X9 Lite is another mid-range radio you can go wrong with. Radio Master TX12 is another great radio for under 100 dollars. The RadioMaster Boxer is another budget-friendly radio that Flite Test swear by and they use it in some of their videos.

yes, and we always want to share these details. The RV7 is CRAZY, and the Cirrus SR22T is a better GA plane, if you ask me...BUT this one is smaller and cheaper, AND a different subject matter. ;)
That is a nice-looking Cessna 400. Speaking of Tower Hobbies. I just flew my old Millennium Master from Tower Hobbies the other day. It's too bad they discontinued that plane as it is such a great flyer with lots of flight time. I'm always extra careful with it cause you can't get it no more. :(

I worked line service at 2 different airports for about 7 years and never knew Cessna had one of those. 6 years of that was in Wichita, the home of Cessna. I've seen a lot of singles engine GA aircraft but never one of these. Great video you two.

Hello I’m standing by a buitifull 22T Cirrus N118EB at my work no I don’t think they flash on wing tips I do have the e flight red and white cirrus that does lol nice looking plane and good flying looks like another nice one Happy 4th

I dont know what it is but when you fly from tue bottom of the driveway it makes the runway look super long. Maybe its because your looking up hill. Great flying as always
i already know alot about that model cuz Hobbyking had released it years ago in lime green and white. Its very fast the flaps are very effective and dont ballon the plane at all so no elevator mixes needed. Its biggest Achiles Heel is the nose gear on fast landings on the grass it will bend back more and more and dig into the foam body. Solution put a good amount of epoxy just to the back side of the nose wheel strut slather it all over the underside to harden things up to prevent bending into the body of the plane. Thats a Super great flying plane and has a HUGE FLIGHT ENVELOPE....

Looks like it flies more like the FMS 980mm p40- after replacing the ridiculous stock motor and esc combo with a 45amp avian and the 1.3m pa18 motor- than a 1.5m eflite SR22t 😊

Brian, I recently purchased a Hobbyzone Apprentice stol s 700 which I really like. This was before I knew about you, sorry. Anyway I would like to get this Cessna 400 but it doesnt come with transmitter. Is it possible to use the transmitter that came with the Apprentice stol to control the Cessna 400 or do i need a new transmitter transmitter?
Apart from the colour and wheel covers that plane is exactly the same as a Park Zone Archer.
Eflite SR22 Cirrus is a 1.5m Brian not 1.3 you probably confused it with the cherokee 1.3

Yes, but the Cherokee 1.3m is a fantastic plane. Just flew mine tonight for the first time in a while as I've been away. Absolutely great plane.

Hey Brian, might be a dumb question, I’m new to RC planes…but why don’t the spectrum transmitters telemetry just have a plane battery percentage on the screen (like you do on your phone, or even how the transmitter has a battery icon and percentage of charge for the transmitter itself) instead of voltage you have to mentally work out based on the amount of cells, nominal voltage, etc?
There must be a reason I’m missing, since a remaining battery percentage is the default is basically every other electronic device.
I had forgotten that Cessna had a low wing plane in the past. Oh yes we small real plane owners do have white flashing wing tip lights.

I have a question: what is the best glue for epo material? i broke the back part of my e flite apprentice S2 mini 1.2 m and it still fits together quite good. so, could you recommand me a glue to fix that?
EPO will glue with many different types of adhesives.
I prefer CHINA GLUE or CA (Foam safe, if you want best chance at success)

@@jayaustin3096 drugs are part of the problem but almost everyone everywhere is on a drug of some kind. It's about $$$ not drugs. I see totally clean mothers and children without shelter now. I know this is an RC channel but here we are. Brian and Megan are compassionate people. I am from rural Illinois. I kinda get the vibe. When I watch their videos I miss my hometown.

How does it compare to the Eflite Cirrus?
I'd also like to know how the fit/finish and flight characteristics compare to the E-flite Cherokee 1.3m, esp. as the 400 is 60% of the Cherokee. Of course, the Cherokee has a 70amp ESC, reverse thrust, and great fit/finish.
flashing lights are on real airplanes for safety from improved visibility . Its called wig-wag lighting.
Hello Backcountry Pilots,
I'm looking to install a wig-wag lighting system on my Maule. My M-4 has landing lights installed on the leading edge of both wings. Hate to say it but I have a friend with a Husky that has wig-wag lights that make him very visible. This is a great safety option. Even skud-running in the backcountry I'm obviously not the only airplane out there. Ever had a close call?
Anyway I'm looking for an inexpensive option. Some of the experimental aircraft wig-wag systems can be installed with a field approval. I was wondering if anyone has installed a wig-wag lighting system on a Maule and could offer some advise.
