    Really informative video thank you. I just had a couple of questions regarding your training programme specific points. Where would I find out about the on-call demand/ nights for specific training programmes? Can't seem to find much information on this and I think it would influence my allocation preferences in November. Thanks.

      Hi, the british institute of radiology has a document with with details about all the training schemes, including on calls, best subspecialties, which hospitals you are placed at. You need to subscribe to the BIR to view it, though. It was really helpful for me!

    Or it should be musculoskeletal ultrasound?

    How competetive is it to proceed into interventional radiology after finishing your 3 years of diagnostic radiology?
    Is there a chance i may not be able to land an interventional radiology training after doing 3 years of diagnostic radiology?
    Thank you dr

    • @Mr.Radiologist
      @Mr.Radiologist  Před rokem

      Hi, I am not at the stage yet, but I think it does vary by location. Large cities will probably have more interventional radiology training spaces. I know some people have managed to move training schemes for the interventional part of training so it is definitely possible.
      However, I suppose there is a chance that you may not get an interventional radiology training position. The best thing to do is to get involved in interventional radiology events, etc. and you can ask the consultants and trainees where you are training, who will know more about the process.

    Radiology is extremely tempting for me, but I hate physics so much.. Is physics a huge component of radiology? I mean, do I need it in my work or just for the exams😅 Great video highlights many points I didn't know , I will graduate med school next year and I hope to get more in radiology🫣

    • @Mr.Radiologist
      @Mr.Radiologist  Před rokem +6

      Hey, the physics you learn in radiology is not like studying for a physics degree - i.e. it's not as in depth as you would fear. It is more about general concepts then some fact-memorising. Most trainees haven't done physics since school and still pass so don't let fear of physics stop you!
