Is not bout knowing how to cook or not. It’s just the difference in what you are used to eating and what you are not used to. I’m talking from experience. When I came to Ghana Newly I usually opt for either jollof or plain rice n stew cos I’m not used to the soup which I find funny then due to the way they use big bowl for it. It was later I was forced to tasting light soup that I started exploring the watery soups.

I have tasted both and I know the difference. Nigerians use parboiled Nigerian rice in cooking while Ghanaians use long Thailand perfumed Jasmine rice directly into the stew ( plus added water boiling). So the tastes are different because of the different methods and rice even if you have same tomato stew.
