Oh my, you love CATS, Clarinets and you SEW 😍🥰❤❤ I ordered the Hygrometers and the Boveda 49% packs. I do NOT have a wooden clarinet but I worry about the pads getting dried out and also for my reeds. I'm almost to the end of the Clarinet 5th Grade band book ONE ; D I'm 60 years old but having quite a bit of fun relearning how to play. Darn my day job, I would love more time to practice clarinet and sew. Merry Christmas!

I live near Toronto (pretty similar weather to Chicago), and fear of winter has kept me from getting a wood clarinet so far. 😢
I've always wondered, when you have your clarinet out in a concert hall (or something like that) and you are performing, do you need to worry about your clarinet being out in the dry air for too long?

I don't think I need to winterize my case as I live in Sydney, Australia and we don't have that much fluctuation in temps, mean temp of about 16 degrees Celsius. Do you have any tips on how to summerize the case as we get a lot of humidity here in summer?
Oh man that sounds like a wooden clarinet's heaven! I think we have such an issue with cracking here as our winters are dry and very cold and summers are very hot and humid! Anyway, I usually take my humidity pack out of my case when the humidity climbs above 40% and if it is extremely hot I will use my insulated case cover.
I have a standard Buffet case that came with my clarinet and I noticed especially on winter season that some time after playing and storing it on the case the clarinet become humid like it's "sweating", how this can be avoided?

@@callyclarinetBasically yes,most of the times after practice I just leave the case open to avoid this issue, it's a weird situation and i was thinking to buy some humidity packs to see if it works or not
