The day Franco Harris became a legend
I was lucky enough to be 12 yrs old when that happened and being a 3rd generation Steeler's fan, I saw that happen on live TV. Always a gentle giant. The Steel Curtain lost a major link. Rest easy Franco and thanks for the memories and your contributions to our first 4 rings.🙏
Rest easy my brother 🙏
I will.never forget that game. I am a raiders fan. But franco was immaculate that day
Tears of joy and sadness. Watched this and will never forget!!
Regardless of who wins, it is plays like this that makes you love the game of football.
I was a 16 year old, tenth grader in Mississippi on Christmas break watching this defensive battle between the hated Raiders, because I was a Kansas City Chief’s fan growing up, and the upstart (to winning) Steelers who were perennial losers before Chuck Noll was hired and drafted Mean Joe Greene, Bradshaw, Franco, and later Swann and Stallworth. This was the start to that turnaround from losers and future champions. There hasn’t been a better ending to a football game since.
Craziest thing is raider takes one step in wrong direction to celebrate or he could have made the tackle
6 rings
There was time left on the clock though, that wouldn't have ended the game
@@isaacmammel9186 ya it wouldn't have been a TD though hence this play wouldn't have happened...
@@isaacmammel9186 right if they had timeouts they still could have won with a field goal but I don't know if they had any timeouts
@@antwandukeshe means if he did tackle him it would have sensed hike out of bounds any way
Every second counts passed away at 72 rest in peace
beyond sad. what a great humanitarian as well. saw this game live I believe it was in 1972. may have been 1973 though. Madden almost had a stroke!
Rest easy Franco!
That Legend made it back for a touchdown
That is a WOW!!FIFTY years ago?!!!!😵🤯
A miracle of all miracles....R.I.P the Immaculate one, the Legend himself Franco Harris......
Great catch good eyes and hands
I remembered watching the replay in the 90s. When was 10 dang
Franko is amazing
Rest easy Franco
Thank u Franco!
Franco, your Italian Army lives forever in the hearts of your fans and the many people whose lives you touched out of kindness
that spiral from bradshaw under pressure across his body was insane
Another amazing fact 51 years after the miracle of Francos Immaculate Reception is that since the day that play occurred the Pittsburgh Steelers have only had 2 new coaches since the day that occurred.
I watched that game live 😅🤣😀👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Terry Bradshaw health is going downhill too smh
Só correr pro abraço.bradshaw
E Franco harris fantastico
Oh I know them boys was stick af on that flight back home 😂
7 to 6 score is crazy lol
And at that moment, Pittsburgh took it personal.
I didn't realize it was 7 to 6
1972-73 season.
Yo the score was 7-6 with less than 30 seconds to go 🤣
So?
Tatum is really to blame. If he woulda just done a simple bat the ball down, instead of trying to be cool & getting a big hit, the game would’ve been over.
Bradshaw had a cannon
I can't tell on this play that football was thrown well short, let's face it that was a lucky play or you can call it a miracle.
@@antwandukeswell he was running for his life & just barely got the ball out. Of course it was short. He also threw that ball 35 yards in a line drive that was a train.
😮😮😮❤
That was a horrible pass because it could have got picked but Franco got it right before it hit the ground caught everyone off guard.
lool dam
La inmaculada le dicen, un golazo de suerte con el que pierde Dallas y gana Pittsburgh, Bradshaw gana a Stuback
Milk that 50 seconds
Franco Harris? The immaculate reception? And I'm not even a Steelers fan.
I don’t see any illegal block
That was just right place at the right time
is it a coincidence this man died right before the Steelers play the raiders
🤔
U cant coach that 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🍊
Immaculate Incompletion
Nope. Immaculate reception. It was clean.
Immaculate dumb@$$ you are 😅
Just one of a few bad calls (tip of ball bounce off turf) vs Raiders in the last minute of playoffs
Really
@@greggorup1006 No doubt about it we know the latest was the over turned fumble called a tuck and also in 79 was a overturned fumble in Denver late 4th quarter
You know what let me go watch that again.
@@hershhersh8577 or I'm not sure you talking about this play specifically.
@@antwandukes Yes but it's hard to find the original replay because the current replays dont show the ball having the short hop off the turf just like in baseball
