    Holly Smokes man talk about a through job well done. Okay I guess there is a lot more to do than just washing the whole bike with a sponge and hose. Wow! I'd better get me some of those items quick. Thanks Nick great tutorial.

    I'm about to buy an NC750X (my second bike after owning a big maxi scooter for 7 years) and was wondering how you go about cleaning a bike, especiallywith a pressure washer. This was a really great, informative video. Thanks so much! 👍👍

    • @nicksepisode
      @nicksepisode  Před 3 lety +1

      I'll be honest because the muc off cleaner is so good you can just use a watering can.

  • @megaady36
    @megaady36 Před 3 lety

    I can highly recommend a bike dryer if you can run to the cost - gets the water out of every nook and cranny especially in winter when air drying is tricky because of low temperatures.

      @nicksepisode  Před 3 lety

      I have been looking into one of these, a bit pricey but I guess they're worth it! Do you recommend a particular model ? Thanks

      @megaady36 Před 3 lety

      @@nicksepisode www.bikedryers.co.uk/products/Bike-dryers/Sidekick is the one I have, but do get the additional hose attachment. Its powerful and the air is warm coming out the nozzle so dries really well.

    Another great video. What are your views on scottoilers and how often do you check/adjust the chain?

    • @nicksepisode
      @nicksepisode  Před 3 lety

      I think Scottoilers are great, but only for daily riders who commute / ride more than 10 miles a day, I don't fall into that category so I haven't installed one. I adjust my chain every 500 miles. And grease clean it 3-4 weeks of daily use, more frequently in the winter. Having said that I do a visual check on my chain before any long run.

    • @saintgeorge22
      @saintgeorge22 Před 3 lety +1

      @@nicksepisode Thanks for the reply. I do fall into that category so a scottoiler is probably the right thing for me.

      Thanks. I'm guessing you apply it the same way by brush each time you clean the bike, never used it myself always used fs365 but might give it ago.

    Can you not snow foam a bike to clean body work, or is that not recommended?

    • @nicksepisode
      @nicksepisode  Před 3 lety

      I don't have the attachments for that, but the bike cleaner does a perfect job - snow foam is commonly used too and will not effect the bike.

    Could you make video or explain little bit more about silicone spray.
    I just bought one for my NC750X and I was wondering where to apply. I saw videos where people apply on all plastic and engine area. And on other side there are videos telling avoid hot surface?
    Thank you for videos. 💪💪👍👍

    • @nicksepisode
      @nicksepisode  Před 3 lety +1

      This is a good idea for a video and something I'll make in the future. I apply it on the dark plastics and around the shock and links. Avoiding paint work, brakes, wheels or tyres.

      Have u had a bad experience with it then? Any evidence to support this? Because I've always done this and never come across any problems. Id rather that then risk silicone on my tyre edges. I'm keen to know as I wouldn't want to misinform others

      A small side note. The vapours off solvents are often more powerful than the liquid. For example a process I am aware of for 3D printing ABS is to place the printed part in a box with a small vessel of warm IPA alcohol and leave it for a while in the vapours. It comes out with all the little ridge lines from the printing process melted smooth and glossy.
      Also, fire safety! Those cleaners (brake/chain/IPA) are explosively flammable. The vapours when ignited often produce a hair singeing cloud of flame for an instant, but the liquids can burn extremely hot with a flame invisible in daylight. I have seen the damage done to an electronics professional, who spilt IPA on his desk and it ignited. He couldn't see the flames, but him and his desk where covered in burning alcohol, including the air he was breathing.
      Doing it outside is of course the preferred option, but be cause in a garage or even more so a shed!
