This is what i love about fly fishing with a good buddy, its always a "we" game cause you've got camera/net/spot man and then fisherman. Team effort for each fish spotting, landing, recording, and releasing. Love to see it guys awesome video I need to get to NZ some day.

Trout Hunting NZ any tips for streamer fishing trout and steelhead. Western Washington is full of them.
Get out there and get your fly in front of them they will smash it. na not really any specific tip, time on the water is the best way to learn. swinging is still very new to me aswell. cheers

Here in new zealand is great for trout fishing; the only problem i would say is that fishing equipment here is expensive

I'm from the USA state of New York. That silver one looks like what we would call a steelhead. Are some of your trout Ocean fish that run up the rivers to spawn?
Hey mate the fish in this video are rainbow trout. The were released in NZ in the late 1800s and come from California. So are genetically identical to North American steelhead. Cheers

Hi mate in this vid we are just using 9ft 5wt fly rods w/f lines, 6lb 12 ft tapperd leaders and some bead headed nymps under a dry fly. / or the swinging part is with OPST commando heads.
