Great job, keep them Diesels coming. Nothing like a Homebrew Diesel. Got one in my S-10 frame rite now. Work on the cab a bit then put it back together for many happy miles.
Bring back the Ford 4.9L 6 cylinder. That engine was rated at 20city/30hwy back in the 80's. I had an 83 with a 3 speed manual on the column that I drove back and forth to school. I never checked the milage, but it only had a 15 gallon tank and dont remember having to put gas in it that often. Not as much MPG as the tractor engines here, but still a damn site better as the gas engines now and it actually had some power when needed.
Not to the blind eyed lawman. In fact a "bus engine" can not legally be installed in a vocational truck engine. Because of new technology, and designations what we call a diesel, government regards as a compression ignition "semi diesel". Read the valve cover of a Cat truck engine sometime. But really, nobody checks.

Great work. Great video.
I'm not sure if you can get a tractor engine over 40 mph very easily
It's all about gearing.
I doubt you are a true country boy. Even a city kid knows it's all about the gearing.

@TNQTV .... maybe the yearly mandatory emissions testing you need to pass before you can renew your plates ...?!....peace

Skirt around it by restoring a truck made before 1980. SOLVED!
Who gives a shit. Nobody cares in most rural areas.
is it EPA legal for the road ?
Only if the vehicle was made before 1986.
who gives a fuck.. if you dont tell them they wont know
They dont really care in georgia.
Sorry, typo. A bus engine can not be installed in place of a vocational truck engine. Way too many dumb laws.
Funny
