Is the apple tv 3rd gen will work on old model tv that has hdmi port? My tv LG 2008 is old model that has hdmi port it has also Full Hd only not 4k. Im using google chromecast and it works. How about if i buy apple tv 4k will work to my old LG tv? Please response. Thanks
Hi. Great video. I'm considering buying one of these boxes, but my concern is that I can only use it on the TV it's connected to, correct? It would be my living room and right now with my AT&T Wireless box, everything I get and record, I can watch in my LR and bedroom. But, I do have an AT&T box in both rooms. Thanks.

Hello, I'm giving my son the new 4K Apple TV. He has the old one. Can he back up the old one somehow and restore the new one with all his current apps and not have to go through and reinstall all that he had before? Thanks for your very helpful vids!
Hi, to be honest I have never done this. I also can’t seem to find any info confirming. I believe the 2 latest models may be able to but again I wasn’t able to confirm. Sorry, this one has me stumped.

I’m considering getting the Apple TV 4K box but the only concerned that I have is that I only have one HDMI 2.1 port that support 4K resolution but I have another regular HDMI that’s 1080 P quality. Do I need to plug in my Apple TV to the HDMI 2.1 port in order for it to be 4K or does it not matter?
It’s up to you. If your port only supports 1080p then it won’t be able to push 4k
You can still use the device even if you don’t have a 4K TV. However if your monitor is 4K, use that. That is if you live alone.
I dont have any other apple device and besides that i use a samsung phone. Do you think this will work for me like they wont ask me to buy a iphone first ??
It shouldn’t ask you for any of that. You will have to create an Apple ID though.
Do u need a 4K HDMI cabel to see 4K? Or Can u just use a regular HDMI Cable?

I never ever used an Apple TV , my sister game me this old Apple TV HD 3rd gen and I can’t pass on screen says computer on the left and settings on the right I bought 60.00 dollars Apple TV 4K remote 3rd gen that says it’s compatible with my old Apple TV HD ( not 4K) but won’t just pass any of this 🥹I’m thinking the Apple TV HD 3rd gen is bad ? I mean it shouldn’t matter but you can try both ways to see if it helps.

I hv connects appl tv with yamaha avr that is atmos .. still i dont see atmos on amazon nd netflix … as my tv is not 4k .. do i need 4k tv ?
I’m not really sure what you mean. In general you don’t need the tv to be 4K

I am unable to stream Final Cut Express produced videos to my L/G TV. I purchased Apple TV 4K with the assurance from the Apple Store that using it would cure my problem. Installed Apple TV last night but no success. Help!

Not texts or anything like that, it does have photos but only if you have a sharing library set up

Can control the TV and my receiver with the control remote of the apple tv ,on/off the tv and receiver and the volume of tv and the receiver with the control remote ofcthe apple tv
You can, In the Settings > Remotes and Devices screen, you'll see an option for Control TVs and Receivers under Home Theater Control. Go ahead and set this to On if it's not already. Once this is on, your TV should turn on automatically when your Apple TV wakes from sleep

Hi, thanks so much for helping people on here. That’s really nice of you. So I have an old Panasonic Viera TV model TC-32LX85 with 2 HDMI ports that supposedly accept signals up to 1080i. I have a third generation Apple TV device model A1469. I’m not an expert but I’m pretty good with technology and I can’t for the life of me figure out what I’m doing wrong. I have it hooked up correctly and I’ve tried every different tv input but the device is not being recognized on the screen. I also tried turning everything off and unplugging and plugging back in, but it doesn’t even let me get to the screen where I choose the language and set it up. Any ideas? Other than buy a new TV, L O L?
That’s very odd, is there any way you can test the Apple TV on any other tv to eliminate the option of it being defective? As far as I know any tv with an hdmi port would work. So either the hdmi cable is the problem, the port itself on the tv or Apple TV or the Apple TV is defective. Did you press and hold on the power button on the remote? Aside from that I’m not really sure.
hey, I just wanted to let you know I don’t know what you said in your reply to me but something worked. I finally got it set up. Basically what I did was just change the HDMI cords around from the DVD to the cable box to the Apple device and that worked. I’m still struggling to get passwords accepted etc. but the device is up and running so thank you so much!

Make sure the software is up to date, also try restarting the apple tv or unplug and plug it back in.

What data exactly? As far as I know you just download your apps and sign into them. Not sure what other data there would be.
@@DHTV well, I found out how to do it . make sure the old Apple TV has home share on, and as soon as you turn on the new Apple TV, and turn on home, sharing, the apps will download to the new Apple TV.

My remote isn’t charging. Any suggestions?
To be honest I haven't found much on this. My suggestions would be to eliminate other issues. Try a different lightning cable, power brick, try charging on the computer, connect it to the Apple TV or keep it charging for a few hours and check. There is a possibility it could be broken though. Its really hard to say.
you cant use this without buying an hdmi?
I can’t connect my Vizio sound bar to the Apple TV.
I press Bluetooth on both devices and there’s nothing on the screen
Unfortunately it's hard for me to help as I don't know the model of the sound bar or really have any experience with it. I would restart the apple tv, make sure it is updated and also make sure the sound bar is working via bluetooth with other devices. You did go to the bluetooth devices in the settings on the apple tv correct?

Only if you have other devices using that Apple ID. One of those device will pop up with this as security. If you don’t have an Apple device using the Apple ID it won’t ask you.

I mean I don’t use it on that monitor so I can’t say for sure but it worked fine for what I did in the video. Why would their be an issue though?
@@DHTV It's a possibility... & the icon in one of the menus is oval when it should be perfectly round(& people have complained of stretching instead of proper cropping)... Can you test it for me & let me know? Please... See how a 21:9 movie fits - use a web browser on a different device & compare... I don't want to waste money on getting one unless it wrks properly... Thanks...

Maybe you have put sa case on you remote.. Mine I remove the protection case because it will not completely insert the usb c on your remote so it will not charge because the cable is not properly plugged in your remote.. remove the case you will here a click with slight resistance that indicates that the usb c is tightly connected
