- Well, this is a quick tribute to the best car on TV....
Gene Hunt's Audi Quattro.
This car is probably the most legendary car on the small screen this decade. I shed rather a few too many tears when this car died in Episode 8. It wasn't only the end of the Ashes era, but also of Gene Hunt's Quattro!

Quattro's were not around on a V plate. Also the wipers are super early LHD setup. And finally, you got to abuse the baals off one to get the arse end to slide out like that....I never managed to lol.
@@quattrohead I am not sure if I remember this correctly but it was only an fwd car for the program to get the back end out, but I could be wrong. I am sure I read this someplace many years ago.
@@davebuts1921 Well, they used Audi Coupe mocked to look like a Quattro for most of the stunt scenes, so that might be right.
Making a video like this and covering up the sound of that 5 cylinder should be a crime
The Audi Sport Quattro was probably the most recognisable car of the Group B era of the WRC it was revolutionary as the car was the first WRC car to use 4 Wheel drive which since then except (1983) was won by a 4 wheel drive car
