It took me a moment to get it...Top Gear back in the late 1970s didn't razz the cars around the way they do now, so I was scratching my head a bit. They didn't start going mad until Tiff joined. I remember him spinning the 1999 Ford Focus around on the track with passengers on board. Good stuff. Nice work combining voice with the Ashes to Ashes footage. Hilarious!
Well, this was the 80s, but yeah. It took a little while for Tiff's style to really take over the format. This was still more Motoring show than Comedy act with some cars for the Situation.
Man, I'd love to have a Quattro, but I can't afford to have it imported to my country and even if I could, it'll be very, very hard to maintain and get parts for it...that's a pretty super car
14k dollars in 30 years ago. that is expensive. wow. my wrx was only 14k used.. 2005 wrx sedan. but i must say.. for its day, it was a four seat ferrari
and still the is no better car in the year 2011 haha. i guess they fired the wrong people back in the day. the car designer that followed up should be fired to.

Goes back to 1978. Clarkson was 18, May was 15 and Hammond was 9 back then.
