I was getting upwards of six blue screens a day at its launch, and that was vanilla. XP is the most stable and fastest Windows release in my experience. Eleven in its current state is close behind.

Indeed. I was born in 1991. I mind as a kid all TVs and computer monitors were literally boxed shaped and heavy to carry around. Nowadays the monitors and TVs are more easy to carry around.

The sounds of the desktop cpu take me back straight away. So nostalgic My grandparents use to have a LG Monitor with Microsoft windows XP for the cpu and the beeps and the fan motor sound so nostalgic to hear.

That computer and monitor look a lot older than 2003-4. I got my first laptop in 2004, a Dell Inspiron, and it was so cutting edge at that time. Even today it still looks comparable to newer laptops although the operating system is ancient.

dude the Energy boot logo is nostalgic, i remember it when i used to boot my moms pc with win xp, and the startup sound is nostalgic aswell. i still remember downloading a windows xp destruction simulator on there and the old windows media player with the cool colorful slides and stuff. now its all bloatware (win 8, 8.1, 10 and 11) and no fun at all, but it had to end sadly..

Man it’s shocking how much technology has improved in the past 20 years. I remember in 2005 computers would take 10 minutes to start up the ram and the speed of the computer were shockingly slow. We had computer viruses, spyware, adware, etc. and overall it was just total junk compared to what it is now, I thought we were living in the future when the smart phone came out in 2007 and I felt like we were all in the Seibertron future after 2012 when they became more affordable I thought it was cool having an entire PC in the palm of my hand with access to the Internet it’s a shame how we take it for granted now

I was born a couple years after XPs release, and it’s the first operating system I used. I would constantly pop CDs in and watch the visualizers or whatever they’re called in media player go 😂
I remember our old desktop computer as a kid from 2004-2009 very well, whenever you pressed the on button one of its start up sounds almost sounded like it internally exploded.

Good ol days, 35 here, i remember my first desk top computer was a compaq, with intel celeron cpu. I loved played max payne, and star wars phantom menace on that thing.

My first family computer connected to the internet via dial-up, ran Windows XP and was a Dell. Xmas 2002.
We had a eMachines running Windows 98 and it used Dial up as well.

I use Windows XP most days to do Visual Basic 6 programming. Still works fine after so many years, and I don't get bombarded by Microsoft ever.
