the violins are playing the most difficult thing while the percussion is having the time of their lives
I think the Flutes are also extrem fast and difficult.
pro tip : watch series at Flixzone. I've been using it for watching all kinds of movies recently.
@@lappilappland3708 right at least the violins can breathe
Not entirely true
I'm just learning the xylophone part
Not for sight reading i can tell u
These are the guys that Warner should have hired! :)
This is one those pieces that make you happy to be a percussionist.
definitely
It’s one of those pieces that makes you happy to be alive !
The man who does the dog's sound plays the viola actually! 😂😂
@@TheJuanTP With those fingers??
Xylophone runs!
It's ridiculous how difficult this piece is considering it's a movie score
Those old-time studio orchestra guys were probably even more skilled musicians than most symphonic players - they could play their instruments every bit as well, and sight-read better.
Radio sound effects plus music.
Yeah but the gunist was a quarter tone flat
@@Baribrotzer Like some of Spike Lee's 'clowns'
Absolutely agree
Germans with sense of humour. Finally I can die.
Uze mi riječ iz usta hahaha
Your death comes too late for us
But if you die its unefficient!
In fact the guy who barks is Spanish and is a violist in the orchestra haha
"The dog" is from Spain 😝
The original studio musicians who recorded the music for the cartoons never got their parts ahead of time. They sight read and had to get it perfect (within a millisecond) in as few takes as possible, preferably only one. Those guys had mad chops!
I want to know who they were. They must be the most skilled orchestra in human history!
Aren't they the original ones?😅
Or did they already retire ?😂😅
@@believerinhope_3832 - Most of them are in their graves. Scott Bradley, the original conductor, died in 1977.
I love to how the percussionists having the fun of their life♥️
What do you play?
WATER
TECH,tech SkaseMouni lol
lmfao
GUN

Water you saying?
Excellent! I love how the Berlin Philharmonic is not only expertly skilled in classical, but as well pushing their boxes to include new music and Hollywood movie and TV scores. Bravi a tutti!!! 👏
The best version of Tom & Jerry I ever heard. No one can beat Sir Simon Rattle to this piece. Greetings from Fred & Barney. Yabba Dabba Doo.
Tom's fishing. Jerry takes a circuitous underwater route with the line, finally wrapping it around Spike's tail. Jerry pulls on the line to let Tom know he has a bite.......Great use of The Trolley Song.
Hey that's the same guy who played viola with a lightsaber in the performance of the Star Wars theme.
Yeap, the same fella: Joaquín Riquelme y García.
Things that we, the spanish people do xD
He's a very known spanish violist, soloist of the Berliner Philharmoniker.
Tallented man
@@luismarhuendaramon1193 and also violist in our natural habitat
Every musicians deserved respect
なんて楽しそうな演奏風景。パロディも一流を追求するベルリン・フィルが好きです。

This is the John Wilson/Pete Morris arrangement, Great fun with the JWO at the BBC Proms back in 2013, and it looks as if the Berlin Phil are having a great time as well
This is a part from original Bradley orchestrations from studio sessions.
@@MrRbjunior83 This arrangement was put together by John Wilson & Pete Morris. Yes the original score was written by Scott Bradley, This arrangement comes from eight different cartoons: Smitten Kitten, Sufferin' Cats, The Framed Cat, Cat Fishin' Just Ducky, Jerry and Jumbo, The Cat Comes to Dinner and Mouse for Sale". John did not have the scores for this and re-constructed this just by listening to the music. czcams.com/video/kYrUWfLlYI0/video.htmlsi=VgnDueI8aJezCrDD

Lou Raderman, concertmaster of the MGM orchestra who played on the original recordings, used to mockingly complain that "...Scott writes some of the most fucking difficult music in Hollywood. He's trying to break my fingers!"
Bradley's music is a brilliant synthesis of Stravinsky, Bartók, Hindemith and Schoenberg along with the American popular song form, from Stephen Foster to Gershwin. A most underrated composer, IMHO.
Absolutely!!!! Insane work.
Plus the main theme is sooo catchy. It was stuck in my head all day!
Carl W. Stalling who is responsible for the Looney Tunes music is as well.
Excelente trabajo del compositor Scott Bradley, ya no veremos algo como esto.
This is so awesome! My brothers and I loved Tom and Jerry! :)
Scott Bradley was a genius. Thank you giving this new life! ^/\^
LOVE IT
Estos tres me han hecho la tarde a risas. Muy pero muy buenos. ¡Saludos! Desde San José, Costa Rica.
Timeless! Bravo!
That guy who did the barking plays the viola...looks like he is always into a play :D
Simply. Brilliant. Extra points for the barking!
Glad to see Kevin Malone going places.
Xfancypants135 OMG
Very underrated
Great performance!...Simon Rattle have an concept more modern of the music. I like it!.
Genius in that composition.
I am feeling so nostalgic 😭😭😭
Holy cow! This was awesome!
this is just lovely!!!!!♥
Wow! That gave me a good chuckle :D
absolutely made my day!
Thanks to reprisals I grew up watching Tom and Jerry
Smiling from ear to ear
Peopke comenting here don't realise how difficult to play is this masterpiece. Song for cartoons. Respect!
El infiltrado en la percusión tenía que ser viola y español (más concretamente de Murcia además).
Enorme Joaquín Riquelme.
i love this ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Amazing!!!!
I'm a noob, but it is me or this is EXTREMELY hard to play? Seems much faster and more complex than most usual symphonic repertoire.
This is indeed very hard
For the string players and perhaps the woodwind players, yes. But for the dogist, it's just the usual canine repertoire.
A general rule of thumb in music for woodwind and string players is that the faster your fingers (whilst maintaining accuracy) the harder a piece will be. Now there are pieces out their that are very slow and very difficult but in the scheme of things the faster the tempo (speed) and the more notes in a short period of time the more difficult it is. - I hope this helped :D
yes, you are noob
Faster doesn’t always equal hard. And it’s not atypically complex
Love it!!
As a percussionist, I REALLY want to play this
What a Composer!
Rattle simply great.

Is there anything the Berliner philharmonic can’t play. They can even do dog sounds, impressive!

So awesome 👏👏👏👏👏💙♥️💛💜🧡💚❤️💖💗
JOHN WILSON ,AND HIS MAGNIFICENT ORCHESTRA, PLAYED SOME ''TOM &JERRY MUSIC'' AT THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL PROMS ABOUT THIS TIME, ONLY BETTER---IN THE SENSE THAT IT WAS THE FAMOUS PAIRS WELL KNOWN CHASE MUSIC. AND MORE -----MUSICAL.
So funny and beautiful sound !
Magnífico!!
😭😭😭💔💔💔💔 We miss you Scott
Wow is really Amazing mind blowing, this the first time i watch live Orchestra play a Cartoon Theme, Briliant Fantastic 💥🌄🙏
back when you didn't have computers and had to hire an entire orchestra to play the theme song and scores of every episode of a cartoon:
Wonderful
I'm sorry but John Wilson is the undisputed master of this arrangement. Dunno how he does it but he finds a sort of 50s sparkle that I've never heard recreated by any other conductor.
No. This is original Scott Bradley orchestration and compositions from Hanna-Barbera studio sessions. It is not John Wilson. Sorry
@@MrRbjunior83 go and listen to the John Wilson performance it’s the exact same arrangement. Regardless of whether the arrangement is the same or not John Wilson still finds a certain magical cartoonish sound that I can’t hear here
Bravo!!!
Awesome!
Tom and Jerry play a big part of history in West Berlin
The Americans set it up for the kids, lifting the depression
Wow!!
Perfect ❤❤❤
So much Fun!!! :)
That's great!!!!

MAN IM WATCHING IT RIGHT NOW AND FRED QUIMBY WAS A TOTAL GENIUS WITH THE MGM / BARBERA BROS!!, love it, the old Tom and Jerry were pure ART!!! I just wonder which episode is this soundtrack from?, each episode had its own music.
Hanna, Barbera and Bradley, plus the artists who made these cartoons, were pure genius. Warner Bros. had their color. MGM had theirs too.
Oh wow!
Emmanuel P.- fluter))) love him)
I think I could enter music school now I just found my talent

The Jerries love Tom and Jerry
A cure for melancholy :-))
And was it produced by Fred Quimby?
Happy job
-So what do you do for a living?

jk that was awesome!
As a trombone player, the first few opening bars sound like so much fun. I wish I could get the sheet music for this
That bark 😍😂
they should bring back the old tom & jerry. They use the orchestra for background music but now, the new tom and jerry, i'm not really satisfied.
good 😍😍😍
Реально, "ребята" классно поглумились... :) :D
Check out Tom & Jerry at MGM by the Danish National Symphony, they take it to the next level :D
Bravo!!!!!!!
magnificient
This was not Sir Simon Rattle's first attempt at conducting film music (he had previously conducted Patrick Doyle's score to "Henry V").
Also the Berliner Philharmoniker under Sir Simon Rattle played the soundtrack for the movie "The Perfume" The story of a murderer in the year 2006. And the documantary "Deep Blue" played by the Berliner Philharmoniker(music by George Fenton)...great records I will never missed!
It's like watching the film
Wow :))
Berliner siete grandi in tutto.Vi adoro!
