  • Not everything goes according to plan! We're canoeing the Three Mile Lake loop in Algonquin Park, Ontario, Canada over the course of five days. In PART FOUR we head out from Three Mile Lake with the aim to complete a 2.8km portage, paddle across Manitou Lake and spend our final night on North Tea Lake. But torrential rain and strong winds force us off Manitou Lake to set up an emergency camp for the night. We're finally able to escape the confines of our tiny tent (time to upgrade to something more spacious?) to resume our journey and paddle from Manitou, across North Tea Lake, along the Amable du Fond river and all the way back to the access point on Kawawaymog on the final day.
Canoe - Swift Prospector 16 in kevlar fusion.
Tent - North Face Stormbreaker 2P

"At least it's not windy" 😂 I've had some really windy days on Manitou as well... What a difference a portage can make....Nice trip guy's!

Stumbled upon your channel and enjoyed watching your videos on the Three Mile Lake Loop which I'm certainly very familiar. I've stayed on that site on 3 mile a few times, one of my fav's. Smart thinking getting off the water on Manitou. Manitou along with several other big lakes in Algonquin can get unsafe in strong winds. I enjoyed watching some delicious meals being prepped. Looked like you both had a wonderful time, thanks for sharing your adventure.
