“The Unkillable Soldier” tells the story of Sir Adrian Carton De Wiart. He was of Belgian heritage but fought for the British Empire during WW1. Being injured multiple times he became known as the “Man who could not be killed”. He was shot in the face, head, stomach, ankle, leg, hip, and ear; was blinded in his left eye; survived two plane crashes; tunnelled out of a prisoner-of-war camp; and tore off his own fingers when a doctor declined to amputate them. Describing his experiences in the First World War, he wrote, "Frankly I had enjoyed the war." Yup, almost all Sabaton songs tell a real story, about real people and events. It's like a fun history class. They also have a Sabaton History channel where they tell detailed stories about events which inspired each song. Fun fact - the guy who played the main character in this music video is actually an actor, historian and co-host of Sabaton's history channel.

You have to check out the story behind this video, it's insane. Sir Adrian Carton DeWiart was the 'ultimate soldier' or a madman. Sabaton has their own history channel with the background stories to their songs. The actor who plays Sir Adrian here is the host of the channel

The line Frankly I enjoyed the war is a quote from Sir Adrian Carton de Wiart. One of Sabatons lead guitarist has a solo career. One of his songs I have requested as a patreon request. Can't wait for you to see it

Sir Adrian fought in almost every War the british Empire had at hand from the 2nd Boer War in 1902 to WW2. Plenty of time to catch all those bullets, shrapnels, bajonetts...

    "Frankly, i enjoyed the war"
theres a reason Sabaton put in the line "Edge of madness"
Sir Adrian could not have been completely all there in his head if he enjoyed WW1

Watch Bismarck, steel commanders, 82nd all the way ,no bullets fly plus many more and all are historically accurate. Also the live en livstid I Krig with captions on. Mind blowing, my favorite group.

I claim the band bribed Indy with a hot nurse so they could shoot him repeatedly.
Sir Adrian makes fictional superheroes look like wimps. Fiction has to be believable - real-life has no such requirement.
It is said the field hospital in Flanders during WWI kept a change of clothes for him - he was there so often.
8 serious wounds in WWI alone...
