The Journey to the World’s Most Remote Teahouse

- If you want to drink a cup of tea at the Huashan Teahouse on Mount Hua, you’re going to have to put in the effort to get there. The journey starts with a 20-minute cable car ride. Next comes a hike up steep, uneven terrain and across narrow paths where a misstep could be fatal. Despite the dangers, nearly a million people a year visit the Buddhist and Daoist temple and Huashan Teahouse that sit atop one of China’s highest peaks. ZhiHeng Yang, a supply porter on Mount Hua, shows us the way.

I like how they told the story through ZhiHeng Yang, the supply porter. That's was a nice perspective.
I've hiked this. Recommend getting there as early as possible, hiking up, and taking the cable car down. By the time I was making my way down, there were 20 times more people coming up then there were when I headed up. Awesome place!!
You took the cable car? I attempted to completely finish the mountain on foot, from bottom to top and then top to bottom. Unfortunately, I only made it to the top on foot after 13 hours of just straight climbing throughout the night, 13 hours may seem a long time, but only half of what it takes. Did you climb the 1000 Steep stairs, one of the most famous features of Mt Hua?
Adge Wang nice
E
Eeeee
Adge Wang he went up on foot down on cable car
DrinkwithaMexican nah he didn’t. Sad
In a world full of Google searches, Wikipedia, (and lots of free time), I am amazed that almost all of the videos come to a complete surprise and amaze me with every upload. Thanks you
Yo I'm pretty sure Zuko and Uncle Iroh are up there
Did anyone else read it as the journey to the world's most remote treehouse
Benjamin Mella I only just realised it wasn’t a treehouse and I’m disappointed
I was pleasantly surprised
hahah wth i was thinking the comments would say something about the tree masters guy. smh
@@JackDBIack HAHAHHA 😂😂 mood
@@catherinemaria3367 Same I was like oh look a tree house and then it was tea house wth
Traditionally, every 25 years, martial arts masters from all around China gather at Mount Hua to compete and communicate.
Great video. I wish it was longer and showing more of the tea house, Taoist temple, and the views. I hope you do a sequel.
There are plenty of videos of Huashan Mountain. I personally love this one the most czcams.com/video/tg_QDioyFM8/video.html
If you search on YT for Huashan Teahouse there are a lot of videos on it.
...I just had a Great Big Story ad
On a Great Big Story video
I know that ad it’s not great big story it just has a rocket logo
Jefferson McGee same :)
I used the stones to sponsor the stones

beyond description!! Just imagine the porter brought water up those hill!!Not to mention those who built it !! Admire with GREATEST RESPECT!
Even high up in the mountains you can’t escape Geico.
That made me chuckle out loud!
I just love China I want to go there so bad I really don’t care what negative things people say I can see for my self
Agreed. The mountains there are just crazy. Have you seen the Tianzi mountains?
Jeez, I saw this guy there in February. For me, it wasn't easy to climb up with my backpack, but when I saw him with those 2 big bottles
Sure that’s cool but Geico can save you 15 percent or more on car insurance
Imagine the Yelp reviews for this place
Incredible view, long lines ***
I saw a video on this place around a year ago and was most fascinated to learn how the walkway was created? I cannot fathom how any of this came to exist.
Don’t let the video distract from the fact that Geico can save you 15 percent or more on car insurance
👍😍I love this. It’s on my list now. 🤗💞🤗
i love that man may universe bless him
If u want some good drama just climb the mountain and get that tea honey

Damn.. bucket list!!
I hiked this during my sophomore year at Northwestern Polytechnical University in Xi'an and Hua Shan (Mount Hua) is in Weinan, very close to Xi'an.
But i guess i love Taibai Shan (In Baoji) more because of it's more beautiful natural scenery. Don't get me wrong, Hua Shan is one of the most beautiful mountain and most difficult one too, specially if you want to hike it without using the Cable Car. It took us around 11+ hours of hiking up to the eastern peak from where you can see the heavenly sunrise and around 6+ hours of hiking down.
A memory worth cherishing.
Bro, do you know who made those steps on the side where now planks are kept?? How did they do it in the olden days without the life support??
Technically every tea there is a high tea 🍵
My goodness, Geico is everywhere.
Wow soo beautiful place
Shoutout to the amazing crew
I stayed a night at that temple in 2012
I went.there...a great place
I went to mountain hua last year. I highly recommend going there for at least a couple of days to experience my family heritage and also the amazing views. You might think that it is just that tea House but there is so much more.
Got a Great Big Story ad on a great big story video... noice
tea on the top...i am sure great idea comes with it
I got an ad saying change the way you see things with great big history but I'm whatching it
Would you like to climb 6000 feet for some tea
British people:
Perhaps
i'd swim oceans to drink good tea
Well, they literally invaded China for tea...
i love geico so cute
How they build a tea House in the first place?
He is grateful for what he has.
Imagine going all that way to the tea house, and then finding there are no seats left 😭
This is just beautiful
Does the tea there taste better than below?
बहुत बढ़िया
Excellent
I like his happy manner
Too all who had a great big story ad before the video its normal i also got the ad
i love teahouse
Damn, that relentless, persistent Geico is every damn where - no matter how many thumbs down I give their obnoxious CZcams ads (:-(
You guys are the best at word pun
Why pay for ads on other people’s videos when you can put them on your own for free **taps forehead**
Wow!!! I visited a teahouse on a remote mountain in Vilcabamba, Ecuador. It was challenging to get to, but not as challenging as this one!
How did i get a great big story ad before this
But does it have a cupholder
I got a Great Big Story ad before this
Iroh from last airbender would love this
Insurance? Geico
Hotel? Trivago
Love you so much china from Pakistan
I like short videos... imagine this being in a 30+ min video that most youtubers do..
Those stairs carved into the rock look like more of a hindrance that a help.
Now this is some tea
tea is everything
the British people will love this
Travelling to Xi’an is one of my happiest memory back in 2018 summer vocation

If went up there they'd have to give me a cold damn six pack forget the tea
Finally the content that i sub for
A long time ago, Goku went there to seek training from the local master when he was younger
Wow.. This will be exactly the one, mentioned in novel "Al_Chemist"
I got an ad for Great Big Story right before this video
Ahh I see what you did there for the title in the video
is this temple actually original or was it rebuilt?
Most likely rebuilt. No building stands 1000 years unscathed.
Just like immortal living place
dude, i wanna go 2 china 1 day !
Wonder how they build the road path thousand years ago. Unthinkable
China is an ancient country, and there are many powerful people in history, including Huashan Taoists.
I misread the title as treehouse, not teahouse. Good video anyway.
Do they actually grow the tea or cook it there, or is it tea from other regions that is served?
When i clicked this video there was an ad about this channel
I went up and down in one day. Next day my calves were stiff as wood.
A different meaning of morning wood
Nguy hiểm quá k may bị sạc cát là đi toi
I thought it said tree house still really cool though
Watching this video alone hurts my legs
Wouldn't this be on the World Guinness record for the highest hill teahouse?
I hope you guys can actually interview the taoist monk inside
I got a great big story ad before this vid started, any1 else?
I love me some good tea. But not quite that much!
Will you marry me and move to China together?

That cup of tea better be pretty darn good for me to climb a freaking 6562 feet above ground!
*yes, i know the point of climbing to Hua mountain is not for the tea*
Hey lets pointlessly hike this very high mountain so we can drink tea!
A cubic foot of water weighs slightly over 60 pounds. That guy probably has more than that. It might be close to 100 pounds he is carrying all that way. Pretty impressive, but in the long term I am not sure that is very good for his back.
He is not carrying it all the way up, he takes the cable car
@@jez2466
Look at him, for most of the video there is no cablecar in site. Thanks brainiac.
@@justgivemethetruth Imagine crying over his comment lmao what a little girl. 😂
Dude doesn't skip leg day....
What if they went all the way there then was turned down because they had no supllies

Dude need to buy himself a mini chopper. It makes him go up there quickly.
I got a great big story ad... Before this video
