Blues and twos episode covering the BASICS or MAGPAS doctors who respond in their local communities in Cambridgeshire to assist with medical emergencies.
I can see that this documentary was made back in the days. Chevrolet Tristar ambulances I’ve not seen one for ages. I know Sweden had a few of them back in the day. But I don’t know what happened to them.
@@PCEngineer2007uk okay thanks for the information. Yeah not to mention the fuel cost of operating a fleet of Chevy Tristar V8 ambulances that’s guzzling petrol or diesel like whales.
LifeOfAnEnglishman yes I went to one of those tri stars laying on its side. They were taken off the road in the end and were all stood on eye airfield for ages.
They were parked up against a wall for a year without being used as they were overloaded once you put a patient in them. They were bloody dangerous. No names but there are a couple of faces that I recognise there.
Well, just found myself. I'm the livery yard owner with the collie. 73 now and still riding though escaped to Cornwall 😊
Absolutely no bedside manner from any of the doctors hahaha!
Ooh Cambridgeshire is where I’m from

High maintenance costs unfortunately, so they were replaced with cheaper to run vehicles. They were also very top heavy and had a tendency to topple!
