  • Jardi Botanic of Barcelona is not an ordinary park, here you can not only enjoy the nature and take a break, but also study and observe the diversity of plants.

In the video we show you the most interesting Mediterranean trees and plants that are distributed according to the country of origin, such as Australia, Chile, Africa, California, Balearic and Canary Islands. And we find some unconventional species along the way.
The garden is very big and spacious, so make sure to have enough time to see it all. It is perfect for long, slow walks when you can examine all the plants in detail. Also you can enjoy sitting on one of the viewpoints, where you get aerial views of Barcelona.
The garden is located on Montjuic hill between the Lluis Companys Stadium and the castle. You have two ways to get there, either by taking 1 red line of metro to Pl. Espanya and then the bus №150 which will take you closer to the garden. Or walk to the park by feet from Pl. Espanya, it will take you approximately one hour, but we highly recommend it, as you may enjoy beautiful views of Barcelona along the way and explore more of Monjuic. The other way would be to take 3 green line of metro to the stop Parallel and then take the funicular which will lift you up on the Montjuic hill.
The entrance to the garden will cost you 3,50 € for the general ticket. But you may benefit from different reductions in price which you can research in advance on their website: museuciencies.cat/en/visitans/...
The entrance is free the first Sundays of the month, all Sundays of the month from 15h, and the days: 12 of February, 18 of May, 24 of September. The park is open from October to March from 10:00h to 17:00h. And from April to September the opening hours are 10:00h - 19:00h. Check the holiday schedule as it may affect the opening hours or the park could be closed. It's not allowed to enter with pets or any vehicles(bikes, skates etc.).
We had lived in Barcelona for 3 years and decided to share the best parks that we discovered and enjoyed the most.
We hope that you found this video useful and interesting to watch.

We are a couple who once fell in love with mountains and couldn't get back. So we decided to follow our heart and move from a big city to a small village to be able to do what we love and to create this content. Our goal is to promote the healthy lifestyle, to motivate people to travel more and care for nature around. We are passionate walkers who love hiking and trekking in nature. Now we're excited to start camping as well. We offer the detailed information of our hikes and routes, including the map and all the directions, so that you can repeat it if you want.
