Hey Kanz, haven't said hi and told you how awesome your channel is in awhile. I like what I see here, it does seem like a perfect The Movies Spiritual Successor. I would like to see a movie Artchitect-like game as well. This brings up the one Architect game I really liked, which you probable have played, Another Brick in the Mall, which doesn't get the love it deserves. Anyways, enough of my rambling, keep up the great work, you always make my day when I watch your channel...
This game is basically The Moies and I love it! Can’t wait for the full release.
If we can make sets add special effects etc, this could be a gold mine. I loved The Movies and it's expansion pack but wasn't very complex.

Fire people by dragging them to the gate...sounds like if you do it hard enough you can 'Uncle Phil' them out of your studio. That's something I can get behind.
In a word, no.
This game is what we call in the used car business, a good 20 footer. From a distance it looks pretty good, even great. But, once you get up close and under the hood, you find a lot of problems. Anyone excited about this game, go ahead and get the free demo and play it. You'll learn quickly what I am talking about. AI pathing issues, clothes clipping, a character customization suite that is actually rather good, but why? These characters rarely ever show up in your game. Nondescript tutorial objectives that lead to confusion. No rhyme or reason to what movies/genres do well. No way to look at and compare staff members to see who is better (the GUI is so tiny, it is hard to tell if somebody is a little bit better at something than somebody else).
That's not to say it is a boring game. It is fun, I like the premise. But, as is the case with a lot of these games, it needs a lot of work and I'll need to see proof of it being done before I'd consider paying for the experience.
Oh, and by the way, the movies you make and get to watch are pretty bad. Characters talk over each other's lines, the lines don't make sense at times. One of them even goes on and on about how the rest of the movie scenes and props needed aren't in the game because this is just a "demo" and they just aren't in the game yet. Then they go on to repeat this about 5 more times. Like...we get it. ha .ha...ha....
I would like to see a lot more effort put into this aspect, since the whole notion is about you making movies.

You're thinking of Blockbuster Inc. The two games look very similar. Blockbuster has a Prologue that is still available and that game is coming out June 6th.
