- YMCA of the Rockies: For the final leg of Colorado road trip, we stayed three nights at the YMCA of the Rockies just outside the Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park, Colorado. In this video, we'll go over why the YMCA of the Rockies is a perfect place for a family vacation. The cabins are cool, the location is epic, and there is no end to the outdoor fun.
My family of four is heading to Colorado in about 45 days. We had picked this place to stay, and your video was so great. I can just picture our daughter and son...and my wife and me...absolutely loving everything about this trip. Thank you taking the time to show us around and expressing your joy. I have a very large extended family. My mother is 1 of 12 siblings, meaning I have cousins all over the US. Every few years, we have a family reunion at the YMCA of the Rockies. When I say large, I mean we rent out 2 of the massive bunkhouses, 1 of the smaller bunkhouses, and we still have family groups renting out individual cabins on property just to accommodate everyone. My specific family group will make the 16 hour drive from Houston this July to join up with the rest of my extended family for a week. My extended family has been doing this for years. Estes Park and the YMCA of the rockies property has changed so much over the last 2 decades that we have been having our reunions on this property. So much so, that I now have 2 sets of retired aunts and uncles that have purchased a home and moved to Estes Park. The biggest changes to the YMCA property is the arts and crafts center. When I was a little kid, the steel longhouse used to house the arts and crafts center. Many of the offerings of this property have been significantly upgraded and updated over the years. The cabins used to be very dated. Now, they are quaint and cozy. I hope y'all had a good time in the Rockies.
You are one of the lucky ones who grew up going to the YMCA of the Rockies. I only wish we’d known about this Oedipal place sooner. Such great memories made there.

Hello my family and I met other relatives at the ymca. One of the best times we have had. Do you know of any other places similar to this. We try to pick a new place every year. We really enjoyed all of the activities. The fly fishing was one of the best places that I have been

Are towels and bedding provided at the YMCA? What all did yall have to pack to stay here?
Towels and bedding were provided. And the kitchen came stocked with the basics you would need to cook and eat.

Is this cabin cheaper than hotel? Do they have smaller room?
Hi. The cost was about the same as a hotel. And yes they have different accommodation depending on your size.
