But my question is,he does not play with his toys and i can not let him sit to build a tower calmly for exampel, nevertheless i showed him many times how to make it wenn he was younger but he is not intressted of his toys.instead of it he takes a piece of the toy and run happily at home.Is it a problem?did i make something worng ?i hope you would ansewer my question.

      Hi. You don’t need to be worried that your wok doesn’t play with his toys as they were intended. The fact that he plays by himself and is happily playing with whatever he finds is wonderful. At this stage, children’s play is very exploratory. You are doing great.

      @ActivelyFamily  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi @Zen. We completely understand. You should see how Isaac can make his older sisters scatter. As far as teaching your son to be gentle around pets...one thing we did is bought a board book about dogs that had soft fur (fake fur) in its illustrations so that we could help our daughter practice “petting” gently.

    Our 16 months old son is slapping when he doesn't gets his way or throwing things away such as his binky. What can we do to correct this?
    We do not hit our child, so we are uncertain of how this came about.
    -Daron (Jamaica)

    • @ActivelyFamily
      @ActivelyFamily  Před 3 lety +3

      Hi Daron! Thank you for watching and for sharing.
      We feel your pain -- our little guy did the same thing. Kids this age don't always have the words to express what they want and they don't understand reason. I wish there was a quick-fix solution, but our experience has been that it takes time and consistent teaching. For our little guy, we use a time-out method. When he does an undesirable behavior, we put him in time out, explain in simple terms why the behavior is wrong (i.e., "it is not nice to hit"), have him say sorry, and then have him do something to make amends (e.g., have him pick up the binky or give a hug to the person he hit). Hope this helps. All the best!

    My baby is 13 years old showing very high level seperation anxiety. How to get rid of it and how u sleep trained your baby. Pls explain

    • @ActivelyFamily
      @ActivelyFamily  Před 2 lety

      Separation anxiety is hard. It is a part of every baby’s development. To help with the separation, I made an effort to give my baby to multiple people to hold. Give your baby to grandparents, friends, spouse, etc. to be held. You can stay near if that helps or even leave the room for short periods of time. Sometimes it helps to distract your baby with a toy or activity while you slip away. But eventually time is what solves the separation issue and your baby will get more comfortable seeing you leave and come back.
