12:57 I am convinced this is Majima doing his own goofy chain side quest. Like when Kiryu did real estate in Zero.
They way I see it: kiryu has the real estate in 0, dealing with majima in kiwami, and doing the cabaret in kiwami 2.
In the meanwhile majima has the cabaret in 0, the majima everywhere in kiwami, and majima constructions in kiwami 2(kiryu can help him too). That's something pretty cool, we dont control majima in kiwami 1,2 but it doesn't mean he isnt a protagonist anymore. It's like he is another protagonist we dont control anymore but we still witness his actions(well exept the majima saga).

Seeing you play these Yakuza games is absolutely delightful. Getting a lot of fun memories from these. I really need to get back to completing the series. The last one I was playing was Yakuza 3, so I really need to catch up before you inadvertently spoil it for me!
She finished Y5 around 2 weeks ago on Twitch and is probably gonna start streaming Y6 at some point.

The change of the engine from 0 and Kiwami really is refreshing, confusing and shocking at the same time...
Yeah though for some reason, Yakuza 5 also had the cars driving across the city, and you could even get hit from them, and that's the game that started the engine that 0 and Kiwami 1 uses, which is weird.
