Olivier Messiaen's Mode 1, also known as the whole-tone scale, is a crucial component of his innovative musical language. This mode consists of a sequence of six notes, each a whole step apart, creating a symmetrical, non-diatonic scale that lacks the traditional tension and resolution found in major and minor scales. Messiaen utilized this mode to evoke a sense of timelessness and otherworldliness in his compositions, contributing to his distinctive harmonic and melodic style. Mode 1 is one of the "modes of limited transposition," which means it can only be transposed once. This unique characteristic made it a foundational element in Messiaen's exploration of new musical territories, influencing both his own work and that of subsequent composers in the 20th century

Dear signor martin, with his lessons you travel into the mysterious world of harmony.. however, she does a well-done job on teaching... I didn't know she also played the piano, so I double compliment her for the good teacher and musician who is...la saluto, stia bene, un abbraccio & alla prossima ciao ... 🙂🙃🙂/🎼🎵✨🎶🤍🎻🪇🎙️🪘🎹🪈🎺🎷🪕🎸🪗🥁🤍🎵✨🎶/👍👌🏼✌🏽👋🏿

Is your guitar triggering midi? Just wonder how the hits are lining up so perfectly? Seems like a combination of midi and prerecorded tracks. Cool stuff!!!

Hi, Thanks!...there's no midi triggered from the guitar. I record the guitar with a video set up of Camo+iphone+RodeNt1a and then add reverb and any orchestra samples in LogicX afterwards. It's a bit of a finickity way of working but the music can be a bit complex so this is the easiest way I can do it and also I splice the speaking parts up into a track with a narrator/vocal compressor. 👍
