Lol, good test Paul! I really wondered about the durability of those chutes, but would you hit it with a hammer when it’s froze?
Yes, I would. I have a 5 year old 2860 that I've used when it's -25F out. The chute does not get brittle and stays flexible.

Gladly! I have a 2860 around here somewhere that I've used at -26F so -10 is just another day at the park.

That was awesome, Paul. LOLI have that exact chute on my 3090. The thing really is tough as nails.
It appears ok but take apart the gear box and see if it’s Aluminum or Brass?
The chute gears are poly but I know you really want to know what's in the front gear box - hardened steel...
