Funny how the band's name kept me from truly listening to them for a long time but it turns out their music is super emotional and introspective and from their interviews you can tell they are genuine, good people. Shame on me for judging too quickly, I guess.

When your head was bopping in those bouncy, crazy "circusy" riffs in the verse under the heavy vocals, I did that exact thing the first time I listened to this.

I like how Make Them Suffer's songs are mixed now. It's pretty legit.
Sean is hands down one of the best metal vocalists I've ever heard. Lyrics are deep, meaningful, and he always drives that emotion home through his vocals. Hearing him sing/scream is really fucking cool. Adding a new dimension to go back to in the future.
I had a chance to meet him in 2016 at an Architects show but I was too shy. I regret it to this day. They weren't as big then as they're becoming now. It was the right time to say thank you.

Sean's vocals blew me away in this album. You're right to say the sing/scream is new for him. There were some cleans on the last album but nothing like this. The first time I saw them live was before their first EP and it's been insane seeing Sean's vocals improving and changing.
