I really love your content! I was seriously pumped that you had a Caliban cover. You should check out and cover or react to For The Fallen Dreams' song Unstoppable.
They said none of the singles they released in the past few months are gonna be on the album. All new songs. This includes synthwave vegan. Not on the album
Marc's breakdowns make me want to punch brick walls until they cry, and then Lukas sings and I wanna apologize. And then the end of this made me say "SIKE"
Two things I realized watching their video: - First, the song switches from a 4/4 during verses to a 3/4 in the pre-chorus and chorus so smoothly it's barely noticeable. - Second, Lukas rarely opens his eyes in this video. In ANY of their videos actually. He's camera shy guy I guess.
I never thought I would say this but I got some Tesseract vibes from the clean part out of a Veil Of Maya song. Other than that, Marc Okubo is one hell of a guitarist
The riffage in this song is absolutely amazing. Well put together song, easily top 3 my favorite songs ever in my 32 years of living. Gives me major chills every time time I listen🖤🖤🖤🖤
That song is so fucking good man. It chaps my ass that I missed seeing them live by an hour. The guitar work at one point sounds like a revision of Fracture as well. These guys are just incredible, and I can't wait to hear more. Also that ending 12 second scream is brutal as hell
I’m just so stoked for this album, outsider/members only are just so goddamn good. Like I love the darker eerie kinda thing they are going for. It was what hooked me into False Idol, and I’m really glad to see that motif come back! I’m curious if this album will be another concept? 🤔
Props to giving bass props on VoM. When you see them live the bassist is having an eargasm and he enjoys every second of it. These guys do not take their success for granted at all, they worked hard for it and they enjoy the fans. Thanks Nik, you’re epic bro in your song structure knowledge. Also Sam grew a giant quarantine beard xD
Love bands like this that have 1 great guitarist and and a badass bassist that more than makes up for not having 2 guitarists. Really allows for the bassist to shine more
Marc and Sam are mad geniuses. I bet they would have blown our minds if more people appreciated their work sooner, but their evolution has been superb nonetheless. Also, Sam got SWOLE.
B B I’ve always really enjoyed them. Their energy is so uniquely their own and their songs were and are so much better written than most nu-metal. In retrospect, they were ahead of their time; the grooves, break downs, and riffs featuring deep bend so prevalent in metalcore/deathcore today were all things they were doing 20 years ago. While instrumentally, they never got close to what’s on display here, this songs grooves and vocals, (especially the pre-chorus), really reminded me of 7D.
Song is super dope, no surprise because Veil hasn’t missed since Common Man’s Collapse. The part when Okubo kicked in “Holy shit yep, it’s Veil” was great lol.
i honestly really like the new direction they have gone with members only and this. They arent doing those "random note" riffs marc has played for fucking years (think like mowgli, namaste, unbreakable, anything off of eclipse, shit like that) They actually have gone with a really awesome structure and lucas is fucking insane. this is coming from someone who has literally followed veil of maya when they were a nobody band in chicago. This shit is killer
Marc really has this signature melodies in his constructed riffs. It had me with, "Damn, that's Marc. Those signature riffs is Marc! Definitely, he's responsible for that!"
Nik you have to react to subject zero by veil of maya, you won't be disappointed, the guitar in this song is just unbelievable, the tones are maaadddd, if you haven't heard it before anyway I heard it when it came out like 7 years ago or stn
*They did me dirty with that filthy ending*
*Come hangout while I stream reactions/covers & more twitch! **www.twitch.tv/niknocturnal/*
And I’m Lucapixel99 (I know noone cares but hey)
So when’s that cover coming nik 😎
I really love your content! I was seriously pumped that you had a Caliban cover.
You should check out and cover or react to For The Fallen Dreams' song Unstoppable.
Nik, you should so check out Bleed from within - End of all we know. Fucking soooo good
Was waiting for the ending react.... lmfao was just as good as I imagined it would be XD
Here for the ending breakdown react. Was not disappointed.
Lauren
Drummer said BLEGH with a ting ting. =P
Duh lol 😂 love it!
Cover perhaps Lauren? Would love to see/hear that ending again 🤘
I will never unhear that distorted reaction.
Nik: Really cool way to end it-
Drummer: TING TING
LMAO
Gotta ring them bells
Bangsat 😂😂😂
The TING caught me off guard
Drummer: Hold My Breakdown.
Nik: "That's it? Shit, okay. Really cool way to end it."
VoM: "We're gonna end this man's whole career."
Legit
Imagine people recycled recyclables as often as they recycle youtube comments.. 🤷♀️🤷♂️
Same feels as soon as I saw this. Oh it’s done? Avengers style ending title? BAM FUCK YOU EAT THIS.
The chorus vocals give me massive Periphery vibes and i sure love it
LaserDeathTurtle I notice that too
the whole thing gave me periphery vibes lmao
@@Findrin for me only the voices, this kind of disonances use to be used by vom
Almost like they toured with them recently or something
I swear they keep competing to be my favorite band
We need a "the firetrucks are coming for you" shirt
dude could make hella bank selling merch fr fr
I like this idea
The stank face he made as a black and white outline with "The firsetrucks are coming for you." underneath it would fucking kill me.
yes
This comment deserves a lot more likes, indeed
the ending caught me so off guard the first time i heard it i wish i could relieve that experience again
FOR REAL
Hell yeah I lost it lol
facts it was crazy
Hunter Walley reminded me of the ending of divide paths where u thinks it’s over them BOOM
You can through nik! Bahaa!
Nik: Nooo you can’t just throw a breakdown after ambience
VoM: *haha drums go deng deng*
Ivan Kuznetsov nah nah nah this got me dying bruh 😂😂😂
I have high expectations for whatever new album this and Members Only is gonna be on
Super stoked for the album!
I’ve been stoked since _False Idol,_ let’s goooooooo
They said none of the singles they released in the past few months are gonna be on the album. All new songs. This includes synthwave vegan. Not on the album
4:08 when it’s okay to go outside
4:15 *Murder Hornet enters the chat*
I feel you all the way on this!
Nik lets get a “them firetrucks are coming for you” shirt made!!
Maybe...
Marc's breakdowns make me want to punch brick walls until they cry, and then Lukas sings and I wanna apologize.
And then the end of this made me say "SIKE"
"It's over?"
_YEET!!!_
can we just appreciate how Sam went from a kinda nerdy looking drummer to looking like he could snap you in half if he looked at you?
Two things I realized watching their video:
- First, the song switches from a 4/4 during verses to a 3/4 in the pre-chorus and chorus so smoothly it's barely noticeable.
- Second, Lukas rarely opens his eyes in this video. In ANY of their videos actually. He's camera shy guy I guess.
VoM love a 3/4 chorus, they do it almost as often as they do a quiet break with vocals an octave lower before the second chorus.
Who else started smiling when Nik thought it was over cause they heard it beforehand
Just you.
@@smokejc 😐
“Really cool way to end it”
*ting ting intensifies*
"2020 has been a bad year but it's not that brutal"
The year:
The year "ting ting"
Sonic and Flash think they're fast.
Sam: Hold my drumsticks
Also here? Dude you’re on every comment section I visit
Just Some Guy without a Mustache Now, Nik Nocturnal? I swear if you become a YT creator you will have my subscription as soon as I find out! :)
I love that I see this dude literally everywhere bro. Me and you, Mustacheless man, we are both men of culture.
I never thought I would say this but I got some Tesseract vibes from the clean part out of a Veil Of Maya song. Other than that, Marc Okubo is one hell of a guitarist

First concert I ever went to was Veil of Maya, A Ghost Inside, Carnifex, and Whitechapel. That day a metalhead was born 😂
This song gives me goosebumps every time I hear it! Such djenty goodness!!!
dude those big choruses with the cleans literally pulls on my heart strings every time i hear something like that.
Nik is gonna make a cover of the song before he even hears it
That would be amazing
Straight up THANK YOU for this, was bored as hell on here, and BAM THE SONG I WANTED TO HEAR ANYWAY, plus the NIKNESS YES
I’m just so stoked for this album, outsider/members only are just so goddamn good. Like I love the darker eerie kinda thing they are going for. It was what hooked me into False Idol, and I’m really glad to see that motif come back!

This song took me soo much by surprise, absolute banger of a tune
Lukas is a fucking master of building a major vocal line that just like... twists really smooth but hard right at the end into minor. Love that dude
Coming back to this reaction, and this is definitely one of my favorites of the year so far.
Props to giving bass props on VoM. When you see them live the bassist is having an eargasm and he enjoys every second of it. That's an imposter of Marc in the video, he's not holding a pink guitar
its purple... close enough
GG
This song slaps. The ending was one of the best I've heard in awhile. Love your reactions too man! You continue to point me towards some real bangers.
Lucas: Surprises Nik with the ending Nik: that’s illegal
This was definitely a bit of a throwback, instrumentally, to their older [id] sound. So much fun to listen to.
I have to say this : the best song I've heard since the start of 2020. This caught me off guard. Insane song.
This was literally my exact reaction. Down to the facial expressions and everything.
Sam dropping the suprise ending! Wtf moment was an absolute win!
He looks so betrayed in the best way after the ending breakdown.
That was fucking sick. They definitely knew Nik would react and were like let’s fuck him up at the end.
Bro AGREED on so many levels. I’ve been following them for 15 years and VOM is still the fuckin king 💪🏻
This is one of those songs that take you on an experience 🤘
i love how Lucas looks at the camera at 4:31. Just knowing that this is pure fire.
Easily one of my fav singles of 2020 so far, great review!! You should do one of the new currents songs when they drop!!
I love blasting this in my car!!! unreal song!
this is such a master piece, veil of maya never disappointed me
Started watching your channel for guitar playing... fell in love with your reactions. More of these!
I found this song today and I’ve been jamming to it almost all damn day. So excited for a new album by them. Defs my fav metal band.
Been waiting for this one! Hahaha song fucking bangs man great reaction 😂
Love bands like this that have 1 great guitarist and and a badass bassist that more than makes up for not having 2 guitarists. Really allows for the bassist to shine more
The chorus is amazing and the end breakdown... 🤯
Dude your English has gotten sooo good, I was watching a video from 9 months ago and wow
The difference is insane! Also, keep rocking
Yeah that jumpscare moment got me too lol, love Veil of Maya, i thought they become softer and softer but they don't
I genuinely thought that was the end when I first watched it and I saw how much of the vid was left and I was like hMmmmM sumfin fishy bout dis one.
Best react! this song deserved it!congrats
Yea that filthy breakdown caught me off guard too, it was a surprise and I loved it
Hey man, the drummer and bassist got names too :< Sam Applebaum (drums) and Danny Hauser (bass)
glad to be apart of the making of this on your stream!
Keep growing Nik! I always support u bro! 🖤🤘🏻
Man, I'm like, 10 years late to these guys, but I'm loving checking out their backlog!
Hey man, thanks for fast intros and non stoping the videos. And especially thanks for your energy \m/
I was shocked you hadn't covered it yet, but the song absolutely destroys
Such a great song. Brings me back to the Eclipse days with that new Veil flavor of course
This is just ridiculously good. Even better than I ever excepted. Holy shitness!
My DUDE I am still DYING to see your reaction to Silent Planet - Trilogy. I wannit
I've been saying this from day one. The chorus feels like it should be the a title track to an apocalypse movie.
That chorus melody is so good.
everytime this comes on I'm like ah its the walk by periphery. Then I'm like wait what
I remember seeing their last single and loving it so much and seeing your comment on their video was awesome! so wish you would’ve reacted to it
That fake ending tho, got me good as well. Priceless reaction Nik!
Dude this track is still so amazing I love it.mia is still fuckin killin it an I love how they changed just a touch for the better
I felt that ending in my bones it was so good! You should consider doing a cover or reaction to Bleed From Within. Love your insight
Marc and Sam are mad geniuses. I bet they would have blown our minds if more people appreciated their work sooner, but their evolution has been superb nonetheless. Also, Sam got SWOLE.
Love ur reaction, subscribed.
That ending tho, caught me off guard.
Nik:"That's it. Shit, ok. Really cool way to end it"
(1 second later when the breakdown kicks in)
"WTF!"
😂
Fuckin love you Nik, one of my favorite tubers for definites
This is super reminiscent of early 2000’s sevendust. Might be the best example of the influence of nu-metal reaching out across the decades.
Pitt Lord 7D is one of my favorite bands!
B B I’ve always really enjoyed them. Their energy is so uniquely their own and their songs were and are so much better written than most nu-metal. The final clip is priceless...but seeing it LIVE has been awesome 😂🔥
Very diverse track, a pleasure to hear so many techniques applied.
Them firetrucks are coming for you shirts, sign me up for 3 😂😂😂
Song is super dope, no surprise because Veil hasn’t missed since Common Man’s Collapse. The part when Okubo kicked in “Holy shit yep, it’s Veil” was great lol.
4:15 i lolled so fucking hard😂
Adding this band to my Spotify as we speak.
React to Stain The Canvas debut album 👌🏻
I love this bloody song
That was perfect
Through and through. And the ending oh yeah!
This makes me happy...internally

This is still funny six months later his face for lukas final scream
Me: That was nice
Drummer: *TING*
Me: It cometh
Bro I’ve been waiting for this one, nice!
I fucking called that ending. I felt it coming and it DID NOT disapoint
I was waiting for this!
I love the break downs you give of ever song
Perfect song, Perfect vocal melodic, Perfect screamo❤♥😍🙌🎸🎼🎤🙌🇧🇷🇧🇷
I've already heard the song like all day. So I was waiting for his reaction for the end.
the drummer sam actually dialed in all the guitar tones using a lot of outboard gear, (misha of periphery posted this)
