I’ve thought that many times too. My personal rule for body care products: If it would be harmful to eat it, I won’t use it on my skin/hair/teeth. As natural as possible is my way to go. :-)

Hi @@IAmPhasion - I use raw black soap on my face, witch hazel toner, aloe gel as a pre-moisturizer, and serum and moisturizer from Cordoba Organics. I use facial buff sponges to exfoliate.
On my body I use all-natural body washes, and moisturize with olive or coconut oil. Besides that, it’s aluminum-free deodorant from Tom’s, and I use their toothpaste too. And sometimes brush with baking soda and diluted food grade hydrogen peroxide.
I’ve been using Giovanni shampoo and conditioner for years (from Whole Foods), and blending my own fenugreek and other hair oils. I like TGIN’s hair cream, and Camille Rose cream. Finally, my perfumes are fragrance oils (Egyptian Musk, sandalwood are favorites), or essential oils (ylang ylang, rosewood, jasmine). That’s my run down of everything, LOL!
I have the Cora menstrual cup and it has CHANGED the GAME for me! It’s the only menstrual cup I’ve ever used that actually fits me well! And it’s easy to remove but holds a lot but is soooo much more comfortable than tampons and pads to me. Obviously everyone’s body is different but I highly recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a good menstrual cup! Love it!
Such an important topic when it comes to the products we use on our bodies bc the wrong ones can cause adverse side effects just as much as the wrong foods that we ingest can.
Thanks Colleen for educated the importance of taking care of our bodies by being mindful of not just what we put inside or consume but what we use on our outer body/skin. As well as giving us some suggestion or substitutes to use instead.

Great info Colleen and I am happy you are switching out your body products. I have had to learn the hard way with perfumes and scented body products. I only use unscented/fragrance free body wash and bar soap. I use natural body butters with phthalate free fragrance. I use natural reed diffusers in my home. I may try the glade. LLook up Uncle Harry's natural oral products. His stuff is good but it has high amounts of peppermint and other essential oils in some of his products. I use the least amount for me... I also use lume acidic bar soap and another bar soap from 100 senses. That bar soap can be used all over your body from head to toes, it's expensive but worth every penny. Try uncle franks or franks body wash. The length of your braids looks good on you lady and you are looking good. Stay Current(meaning stay healthy and looking good)😘😍😀🙋🏾♀️

It’s a good thing you didn’t have to get rid of MCI/MI. Not only would the products not have a nice smell, it’s in SO much that it’s really hard to avoid. To go truly “free” can be so difficult and expensive.

You're doing an amazing job Colleen! This change is huge but the impact on your body will be even bigger.
I dry brush to help with my lymphatic system and to exfoliate. Love wearing a "pump" cover lol to help me sweat more at the gym. Also jumping on trampolines help with lymphatic drainage ( taking the kids to skyzone 😝)
& I love dr bonners but the baby unscented for my girls due to avoiding endocrine disruptors even avoiding laundry fabric softeners.

i need to get back to all natural, especially if i get UFE. it says that procedure cut offs the blood supply and it shrinks and has less chance of coming back as opposed to myeomectomy and they come back with avengence.

I have some huge fibroids as well and I'm going to be doing green juicing and intermittent fasting and see if they'll shrink naturally..
What laundry soap, dish soap, scent beads are you using? I want to be completely chemical free. Have you elimination aluminum yet? Microwaves? All the things? lol
Nah. Right now it’s hygiene products. Realistically, it’s hard to escape as it’s in furniture, carpeting, clothing but I do my best to control what I can and live a busy life
