"Battery life tends to be better when you have the battery outside of the camera" --That was epic! :)
*Thank you for showing at least a couple of seconds of what this camera can shoot @ 6K resolution ! You have just shown more than any other reviewer seems interested in showing anyone ! 🤨💁👀*
Its great to see you guys together again!
Non-slip on off switch maybe refers to it being very light action on my X-T3. It frequently turns itself on in snugger bags.
Yeh same with the XT4. It's a well known issue that users will grab their cameras out of their bags only to discover the battery life is dead due to the on/off switch being too easy to flip over and accidentally turn on. Auto power off can help but users forget to turn it on, or like me have to turn it off for some tasks and forget to put back on afterwards. A stiffer switch is very much welcome.
@@SummersSnaps same on all 3 X-Pros...
@@LoFiAxolotl IDDQD, as in God Mode for DooM?! :D
your outfit is amazing. The jewelry, the JLC, the pattern shirt and shade of suit. You look like you could beat someone that owes you gambling debts on the streets in the 80s and everyone would look the other way!
Nice Reverso
I’ve been working with the xh1 and xt4 for the last 4 years or so, and I love them both. I’ll probably end up with this beast eventually, but I’m definitely disappointed that they went to the pasm dial/standard dslr controls. Fuji x has always delivered quality wise, but I won’t lie, part of the reason I ditched Nikon and went to Fuji in the first place was the shooting experience. Especially on the xt4, I can sometime get through an entire shoot without using the big screen or getting into a stupid menu. I’ve grown fond of the old school big knob experience, and I love how the “mode” doesn’t matter. Just set the stuff you care about and let the camera do the rest.
Beast of a camera!
do the custom dial settings save things like: timer on/off, card location saving, jpg vs. raw? on the XT4 my issue is that the Q-menu will not save functions such as timer, file type/size format, nor SD card saving order/style. I want to switch between real estate bracketing with timer and other settings immediately to action, or portrait and it cannot be done with one switch of a menu setting on the XT4. super annoying. Does the XH2s solve all of these now ???
Best duo ever for reviews!
love that Reverso
Looks awesome!
Nice watch Kai. The Reverso is my dream watch. You got good taste brother.
Love it!
Very Instructive. Thanks
bro... that reverso is gorgeous
Not sure if I’ve just missed it before but love the Jaeger LeCoultre, Cartier ring combo.
The camera is pretty cool too 😉
Was gonna say! Beautiful reverso
Kai has quite the watch collection
He may use a digital camera, but at least his watches are mechanical!
yes, that red reverso on the tan strap is fire! well played Kai
Came here for the watch comment too! Haha.
I want to see your watch collections Kai...
The video from it looked really good.
This camera ticks every box for my needs 🙌
Whoa Kai, sick Reverso!!
Thank you for the video.
Missed you two so much.
Would you choose the fx30 or the xh2s for video?
Did they fix the battery grip disconnect issue
Would this be good ,to shoot Video of fast moving Aircraft ?
Hello Kai. I haven't seen your review of the XF 150-600 lens. Did they not ask you to review it? I'm keen to hear your thoughts on it.
I would love to see also you talk about watches
Fortunately sold my X-H1 last week before the price dropped. Loved that camera though but not likely to go for the X-H2S any time soon.
Kai, please make a video on your wristwatch SOTC video!
Brilliant
Nice looking reverso wow. Kai wristwatch video soon?
does the 18-120 have OIS?
So basically when the bring the sensor down to the XS10 upgrade it’ll be the camera to get
Why have they jumped the x-h2 and gone for the x-h2s?
great video
That Reverso 🤤
Anyone else notice the Reverso?
What the heck Kai, always trying to keep up with your trailblazing watch fashions, but what are you wearing today?! Some kind of vintage Rado?
I’ve been using the X-H1 for a long time and have been curious about a replacement. As Fuji has taken away the well loved dial’s, they have lost a customer.
I couldn’t help but notice in some of the indoors filming that the exposure stepping issue is back 🤷🏻♂️
it is only there when you don't use the new lens. In Lok's review, you can see that exposure stepping doesn't exist with the new power zoom lens.... yeah... more money....
Nice reverso watch Kai!
I really like the image out of that S5
That's actually a huge improvement over my xt4. Especially for all the video functions. That 4k60 looks so much crispier without the crop and I can't believe there's 4k 120fps. Barely any rolling shutter and pro res? The attachable fan is kind of interesting. I'm saving up
Nice Reverso! 👌
Did Lok move to GB?
S does = Speed.
Keep watching for the main X-H2. I cannot say much more
Great. Thanks. I think S may stand for Stacked
Kai break the camera! CLASSIC!!
XH2S the little beast
It looks similar in size to my Z7 however I like the sharp faceted eyepiece pseudoprism bump
Greetings from India 🙏🙏
I love your reviews and I look out for them before buying a camera... But I have one small request / suggestion though... If you can include the creative features like Multiple/double exposure, focus bracketing, etc. Would be helpful.
For eg. In Multiple/double exposure how many modes do we get, number exposures can be set, do we get the Raw file also or only Jpeg files...
Cause my XH-1 doesn't gives a Raw file...
I think if reviers like you starts including such features Fujifilm shall/might listen and include the same in future cameras/firmware updates.
Please consider my request 🙏🙏
God Bless 🙏🙏
It's big and heavy ?!! What is the weight ?
And here's me, sold all my newer Fuji's and still using my xt1 :0
How many other reviewers will you find running around Fuji HQ like a pair of fannies doing a bonafide stress test. Actually valuable info you won't find elsewhere.
I wanna see this vs Canon's newest APSC set they announced too!!
love your watch game! not seeing jlc often
Nice Reverso
The specs make me excited... the camera doesn't hope they bring some of it tho more "Fuji"-Bodies... I don't want an articulating screen or PSAM Dial... the X-H1 was the perfect body for me
Yes
It's nice to have the fan to solve the overheat 300€ in Spain but you will get less minutes to record because the battery so you have to buy the grip 1000€ more so they sell the camera in parts.
Wow nice reverso! :)
Anyone know what that watch is? It is awesome.
JLC Reverso
Seeing Kai and Lok together bring back the lovely DRTV memories. Really filled my days.
Will that 18-120 f4 work on x-t30?
It a Fuji lens .. so…
and auto focus?
Does it still have 30mn recording time limit?
no limit
Thanks K+L!
I'm interested in a comparison with the GH6, though I'll probably wait for the X-Pro4 for the classic Fuji photo feel.
Also, what's happening with the L2 / L-Squared /Leica-Lumix enterprise - any info?
Is there a date yet for the xpro 4?
@@SuperMegaMaxwell Not yet, and it's possible that they'd skip a generation to alternate with the XH. Very keen for it, though :)
GH6 is a micro-four thirds sensor. Why bother.
Me thinks the L mount alliance is a dead duck… which is a real shame imho
@@nigerian-nightmare if that is a legitimate reply why isn't crop sensor why bother.
Everytime nice to see you two back and good review. It’s a good update but somehow Fuji isn’t for me. Just a canon guy. Big probs for the JLC Kai 😁👍🏻
Obviously its no odds to me, but if you shoot a GFX100S, the pictures are on another planet, quality of GF lenses, colours, resolution... Even when canon do 100mp I doubt their lenses are up to it, my 24-105 EF L lenses didnt even look good at 18mp...
Yet you are watching a Fuji video ;-) Don't be an anything fan. Take cameras individually.
Nice Reverso my guy
Crazy good all-rounder, but at $2.5k it will certainly keep the previous 26mp cameras such as the XT-4's, XT-3's, and XT-30's relevant. Perhaps other companies have not adjusted prices to match the current supply chain, but that pricetag puts it up against the full frame Sony A7iv, Canon R5, and Nikon Z6ii. Granted the feature set for video alone beats out the full frame standard bearers, it will be interesting to see how the market adjusts.
I think a lot of people also forget that a lot of cinema cameras use aps-c or smaller sized sensors for video work. FF is like the cherry on top but the cake will still be stunning without it.
@@ZeLoShady 100% agree. It just seems like a challenge to market this as a video first camera when Fujifilm isn't known for that. I think it is an extremely capable camera but unless people are familiar with the XH-1, it would seem overpriced at first glance, especially for stills shooters.
The whole idea of flog is to get those highlights back, but when you did flog2, the background was blown up! I hope it can do better than that.
Most entertaining presenter award
Did they calibrate the lcd on this one. Does it have that dirty yellow warming tint like the rest???
damn thats one nice JLC
These days we watch lots of Fujifilm camera promotions! Nice to know, whether the photographer will buy one is another story.
Dat Reverso do' 🙃🤩
Review of Fuji's newest camera, captured by Lumix S5 😁, a comment from the S5 and the XT3 owner
I want the individual dials back
I see Tim in your video!
Do you two know each other? Good dialogue and chat.
video autofocus performance...?
Did I hear you say you actually bought this camera? How is it now….
I know this video is about a camera but I couldn’t keep my eyes off that JLC Reverso 👀
2.5k is a little steep, that’s R6, Sony A7iV price range so it’s got to go some to be able to compete with those
No noise iso news yet?
Tripping on the Reverso more than the Camera 😂
Same Kai actually has a banging watch collection
Cant wait to watch it against Canon eos R7 yay!
Kai+Lok, I even saw Tim!
cool
Wow
Broke the cam with 15fps very Kai hahaha
Nice JLC
I'm glad Fuji went with a stacked sensor with this camera. I hope they use the same tech for their 50/100MP medium format lines.
What lav mics are you guys using?
❤️❤️
Looks great. But looks like lots of out of focus in those super fast bursts and locks ups! I’ve pre ordered but hopefully that will be sorted before they ship them
Curious - why would someone get an APS-C camera that is the same size or even bigger and more bulky than Sony's or Nikon's full frame cameras?
Because it has features that 4000$ cameras have at almost half the price. It's slightly more compact on the lenses too. Not by a ton, but enough to save your shoulders some weight
@@8bittim Not really true. I was looking at the new Sony A7 IV FF camera and it measures 131 x 96 x 80 mm, whereas the new Fuji XH2s measures 136 x 93 x 85 mm. I like Fuji, just disappointed they didn't at least try to make it more compact and portable, since it is a smaller sensor size.
@@nicotri9722 I would say body size really doesn't have much to do with the sensor size anymore. The sole exception being the om 1. But it's not really a hybrid camera either. Secondly what about what I said isn't true? It's got a stacked sensor. No full frame in that price range has that. Aps c lenses are slightly smaller than their full frame counterparts. I would get the Fujifilm xh2s if I enjoy wildlife or general use photography. It's the middle ground between m43 and FF. Now would I personally buy this camera? Idk yet. The OM-1 has everything I want and I don't personally care about the advanced video features(one more reason it's better than most of the FF in it's price range)
@@8bittim I'm not sure what the justification is. Why would I buy an APS-C in a bigger camera body, when I can get a FF in a smaller camera body? Especially when traveling - camera size and portability are super important. I think Fuji dropped the ball on this one.
@@nicotri9722 the justification is -again- the fact that your getting more expensive features in a cheaper body. I've explained this three times now. This is definitely not being marketed as a travel camera, but rather one for sports photographers, wildlife photographers and videographers who -AGAIN- are looking for similar performance to something like a Z9 or A1 or R3 but not having to fork out the dough for such a product. This may not be the product for YOU specifically but I'm positive there are tons of people who are waiting to buy this for the exact reasons states above. This camera, simply put. Is for professional use. Most probably don't need this and I suspect that the XH2 will be an easier sell, both in price and use case
This video felt like sponsored by Fuji. Still might be a great camera, thanks Kai !
i guess it's not sponsored.
but there is a certain way to review and say when u get invited for first-hand review before release of the product.
nice watch btw, jlc reverse
Even for a pre release model freezing demonstrates problems.
So it's worth the update from the H1?
Depends on what you are shooting. If you need video or improved AF, it will certainly be a big improvement but if you are shooting portraits and want more pixels, probably the 40 megapixel X-H2 would be better.
It is better than the x-t4. It is a crazy upgrade
If you just shoot landscapes or products, prob not. But for everything else, it's in a different league
