I have watched numerous videos and yours finally got me going. I can't thank you enough for going slow and explaining it so well. I felt like I had a patient teacher right next to me.

Your new thumbnails for your videos are very clean and direct to what I'm about to watch. I see you being an excellent resource to save. Thank you again.

OMG this is perfect. Someone taught me how to do this when I was little and over the years, having worked with crochet instead of knitting, I'd forgotten. I've tried other videos that show the Continental cast on and they all felt wrong. Your video brought back my muscle memory and my hands just knew what to do. Thank you so much. I found one of your other videos which led me to search your channel for this one. And I've just subbed. Thank you so much!

If you ever feel like one of your old videos isn't up to your standards, I will always watch an updated version 😊 thank you for this.

I am new to knitting and in search of good, easy to understand and follow instructions. I really hope to see more of your BEGINNERS SERIES. I have crocheted for years and am so happy that you have this Continental method tutorial. I can't seem to grasp the other methods and was ready to give up learning to knit.

Thank goodness I found you! I’ve been following another tutorial and was about to give up altogether-yarns getting twisted, not knowing how to position yarn when it drops from your fingers. Etc. But yours is so much simpler . Can’t wait to start again today 🤩

Thank you so much! I have learned so much from your videos. I watched so many long tail cast on videos and could not understand what was happening and was getting so frustrated trying to understand, until I watched this. I only had to watch you do 2 cast ons and I had it because of your technique and the fact that you don't over complicate it. Yes! 🎉

I am amazed that you could film with a microwave but then I don't get out much and maybe you can. Love the name Nina and I am pleased that she is now able to manage the long tail cast on. Thank you for your tutorial and your visit. Please take care and stay well.

LOL "filmed using a microwave", you did a FAB job explaining and sharing the why's (really important) to the process. Thank you Thank you!

I'm sure there are many who will be glad for the update (apparently you know at least one personally) and I am decidedly not ANTI-update, but I must say I have referred back to your original multiple times and it's always done ok by me. Fit the bill. Got the job done.

I'm glad to hear you found the original useful. Her main complaint was that there wasn't enough repetition and that she had to keep stopping to rewind. Some people referring to a technique video will just need a refresher. Others will be learning to knit and trying to develop all the muscle memory skills for the first time. It's always a trick to balance the needs of a wide spectrum of possible viewers.

An excellent explanation and demonstration. Love the idea of working in two colours, it would look great on a sock. 🇬🇧

😂I guess a microwave is better than a potato... Thanks, as always. This is perfect for sharing with people to teach them the process of using the LTCO.

Fantastic to see you are still posting videos! (So many seem to drop by the wayside.) The sling shot method is the best but I don't knit enough to remember how it's done. I'm so particular about not knots in my work. Thank you so much. Your video was very well done.

I started doing this method of not using a slip knot a long time ago but I didn’t twist that first stitch. I couldn’t figure out why when I joined in the round it did look quite right and now I know why. Thank you!!!

Thanks for this very well done tutorial. Maybe a followup could be alternating knits and purls using this method.

Please do a video showing other ways to accomplish this cast on. I have dexterity disabilities and the slingshot is too challenging for me.

I’ve always done this two-handed (tail over thumb of left hand, working yarn moved with right hand). Perhaps a short follow-up video showing how to do a non-continental version of this cast-on would help.
