For the neutral who doesn't know much about the two teams:
Arsenal
- Fancy football with exotic attacking players
- Would probably fit better in La Liga
- Probably more successful than Spurs especially in the last 20 years
- Known for not having the greatest fans - polar opposites to clubs like Borussia Dortmund in terms of support, who have great atmospheres with tickets that the working class can afford, Arsenal charge £60 for a ticket and the Emirates stadium feels extremely soulless
- Not originally from North London
Tottenham Hotspur
- Classy, Stylish and traditional are the words I would use to describe them
- In the last 20 years they have been the underdog but over the last 5 or 6 years have once again started to challenge Arsenal for that position of dominance in North London
- Better atmosphere, loyal fans that on their day can be the best in the Premier League
- They would argue they are the rightful owners of North London

Other than that, both teams have incredible histories and a lot of supporters, Spurs' best years were the 60s where they became the first English team to win a European trophy and the first English team to do the league and cup double, Arsenal's was in the early 2000s where they became the first and currently the only team to go a whole season unbeaten.
Both teams have had some absolutely legendary players, Spurs have had Jimmy Greaves, David Ginola, Glenn Hoddle, Ossie Ardiles, Ricky Villa, Paul Gascgoine, Jurgen Klinsman and Gareth Bale. Arsenal have had the likes of Thierry Henry, Tony Adams, Patrick Viera, Dennis Berkamp, Ian Wright, Robert Pires and Pat Jennings.

There isn't a battle for north London, Arsenal are the bigger and better team. Look at the trophies, quality of players, the manager. Tottenham have not finished above us in 20 seasons and we have won the league at their home ground twice the same amount of times they've actually won the league and they still celebrate a 3-1 win against about 25 years ago or whenever. Arsenal > Tottenham but tbf to Tottenham they are improving and are becoming more of a challenge to us than what they were.

Okay let's clear this up. Arsenal moved to North London in 1913. Tottenham didn't officially become North London until 1965. (Plus arsenal have always been a London team)

We seem to have surpassed them now.This is their third seadon in Europa League, we have another shot in the champions league. We didn't lose 4-1 to Chelsea(Even without playing Mustafi) and we made it to the Champions League final.

I'm an Arsenal fan and I really like this animation by copa90. I have seen a lot of comments from both arsenal and spurs fan. what I will say is this. Arsenal is the best and I will always believe that but spurs are upcoming and rising. They are playing very well and have put on a good run of form. And in the game against Spurs, even though I watched on the TV you could not hear the Arsenal fans until the 75th minute when they scored... All you could hear is Spurs fans until then, that is atrocious for a derby.
