Gracias amigo.
Johns moto garage for you
I’ve had an M50 named Persephone since 2005. Traded in an old Suzuki Intruder (now S50) for it and Bought brand new. Been a great bike with close to 40,000 miles from Maine to Florida. Been through Hurricanes, Torrential Downpours, Snow and Freezing Weather -10 being coldest ever driven in. Since COVID hadn’t ridden her much but she still runs strong.
FYI... it's the same engine as C50 but has a different tune. M50 has 5 more Horsepower and 9 more lb-ft of torque.
Went all the way to northern Michigan from Indianapolis to get mine. A great choice! A few cosmetic changes, It gets more complements than $30,000 bikes standing next to it on "Motorcycles on Meridian" nite in Indy. Never seen the inside of a garage except for new tires. Love it!
Picked up an '08 M50 a couple of months ago. LOVE IT!!!
B.J. I’m going to look at the exact same bike tomorrow.. it even says cobra exhaust.. I know nothing about it!!
@@32rogue I ended up getting it, traded my dirtbike for it straight up - the exhaust does sound very nice, but I cannot compare what it sounded like before.. man it is so smooth.. and it looks clean it is the black and yellow coloring... gonna get some gear today and do some major cruising after work
Could you compare this version to the next generation of M50/C50? How the performance, handling has changed? What is better in the new generation ?
Watched this a few times... and also others comments but it’s my beginner bike in part to your videos... admittedly just a tad taller at 6’6” I don’t think I dwarf it lol but it does feel comfortable for now I’m loving it.
Never should have traded my '07 M50 away. I miss that thing.
Just picked up an 07 for my first bike really liking it.
This is the reason I own a m50 thanks brother! I was skeptical a few months ago and I watched this video, purchased the bike and now that I've road it for a couple months I can say its a great motorcycle.
Same brother, I actually bought the bike in this video and it’s great! Super reliable!
Just got mine today! Just waiting on insurance but super excited
@@cameron12345613 awesome! I’ve rode with my fiancé as passenger for over a year now and have no complaints love my boulevard. I got a Vance and Hines exhaust 2007 model she sounds great!
I love my 2005 M-50 thanks! It would be nice to have cruise control!
Loved the commentary! Great video sir.
I have a 2000. It’s still great. Even with twin intake and twin carbs.
What are you using for Bluetooth communication?
4:49 sums up reason to ride “let’s go this way’.
How does this bike do with two-up riding?
“Cooler colors, cooler everything” lol
Cracked me up "I'm not trying to say that the m50 is for the guy who left his family"
That speedometer reminds me so much of an Autometer brand styling.
I had one myself . I added straight drag bars , lower profile seat
Sean, How would you relate this, say to a Vulcan 900 custom? And does it handle better than the C 50? Because it sounds perfect for me.
Literally just wondering that
I have a 2013 and is been issue free.
what year?
Awesome review bro.
seems like a pretty quiet bike. what exhaust would you recommend to upgrade?
Cobra exhaust on mine and sounds amazing.
Same, I’ve got Cobra Slash cuts on mine with a Cobra fuel controller. Exhaust sounds amazing and makes the bike sound much better than stock. Also the fuel controller they ship comes tuned already for the bike
What year is the M50 in this review?
Sup with your left hand grip?
Do you finance though?
Had one this color - great bike. Rode it cross country - it needs a better seat but great bike.
You lost me with the family analogy bruh hahaha love your videos... I’m from Lebanon area
The M50 is a dope bike for it only being a 5spd, it's a good city bike. I rode the PCH from Washington to Los Angeles on an M50, and it would benefit HUGELY it it had a freeway cruising gear.
Yeah it's just a little hot rod. They cruise get at 45 to 65. Any more than that she's working
Got the 2007 VZ 800 Intruder with v&h pipes....rollin' thunder...
Biggest thing anyone can do to any engine is keep the oil changed and the air filter most of the time when people have Internal engine failure its because they or the prison before them didn't change the oil and keep a good Grade of oil i have this bike it is fantastic bike the only Complaint I have with it i wish it had a 6 gear It vibrates bad at 65 you are always looking for other gear to shift into
I never noticed until just now. The m50 does not come with running boards or heel shift? Can they be added? I just never noticed before.
Yep
No gear indicator?
Is the bike even running????
Whats the price
Great review. I love my 2005.
I sat on one a couple days ago and it was super comfortable. A used one is about $5K which is a very attractive price. I'm just shopping around right now, but this is definitely a bike I'm considering as well as the c50 for one I potentially buy next year
Just picked up an 09 Special Edition…has 1070 miles. Paid……….$2,800 MINT
what kind of feul do you use in the suzuki boulevard m50? can you just use regular unleaded?
kevin98831 diesel
@@Cycult what really you can use diesel in a 2005 suzuki boulevard m50 ??? is this a joke ?
@@kevin98831 yes, yes it is DO NOT USE DIESEL FUEL!!!
Would this be a good bike for someone that is 6ft, 180lb?
I'm 6'4" and 16 stone got this exact bike ,excellent fit !
Kind of a bizarre commentary there, Sean. The whole thing about an 800cc bike growing up to be a 109 cid bike...
I own an M50. I am 6 foot 3 1/2, and 300 pounds. It suits me as a beginner bike. I kind of think of it as a Junior Road King, which is what I want to move to. It kind of runs out of breath around 70-75 miles an hour. It needs a sixth gear.
All that being said, it is excellent for what it is for, namely, cruising around town and commuting to and from work. If you ride it more than 100 miles or so in a day, you will want a more comfortable seat, that’s for sure. Mustang makes one.
That rattling piece in the front is held in place by a friction fitting. Just push it back in.
Thanks for clearing up the fact that bikes are not alive awesome
my 2006 m50 does 110mph top end
thanks man, I'm 6'1 and about 265ish and I absolutely love my SV but it doesn't fit me that well, found an M50 for an absolute steal (some assembly required) and was wondering how worth it would be, sounds about like what I was expecting, so hopefully it'll be a good fit
@@abbondanza23 my SV650 has done a proven 104mph with a new accurate speedo, doesn't mean it was running out of wind at higher speeds
Would you consider this a starter bike for one who is 5' 8", 175-180 lbs.? I'm asking because if so, I'd consider it.
So uh you just did my whole history
Would this be comfortable for someone who’s 6’5”???
I'm 6'7 and find mine comfortable
After I buy one of these I'm chucking an aftermarket exhaust system on it straight away
Good looking bike to me.. looking at a local M50 for sale. Thanks for the great content
Baxter Stocksandbondsman do it. I have a black 2006. I friggin love it
@@wesjackson71 how is it holding up I just got scammed with a harley need a whole engine swap and I am thinking on getting a 2006 M50 to replace the harley or keep it and sell the damn harley
Any bike im interested in i come and check if youve done a review first before i do deeper research.
Just bought my M50 in the midnight blue..and it's an import from Mississippi..and I'm in south Africa. Lol wondered why everything was in miles 😂
Amazing bike for its engine size..I'm loving it
I approve this message
Man those are not road from Québec 😂😂😂 , just saw one for sale and this video made me want to go buy it right now , but i cant get out the house and my motocyvle class has been canceld because of the covid-19 , just hope it will still be available
Yeah. Same. Covid stopped all classes here. Except Harleys expensive class and I don't want to be harassed to buy a harley. I'll get my Road, Ultra, or Electra Glide when I'm ready. Bought a. Suzuki VL800, self taught myself around my neighborhood, read my state motorcycle hand book(free download online by your states DMV), and watched a bunch of safety rider rules videos, then tested at the DMV. I passed on the first try (on my Bday). What a gift huh? 😁Will take the classes for insurance discount and more knowledge. Just get it.
Which is faster the m50 or the black stage 2 marauder you had?
Marauder by far
WHERE CAN I BUY THAT SUZUKI BOULEVARD M50?
Craigslist or a motorcycle store that sells used motorcycles.
Although this bike can go on the freeway, it is not a freeway bike. Perfect for back road mellow cruising. Perfect.
I'm 6'2'' and 290 lbs... opinion about this being a decent bike for me?
Battlescar Gigantica he is 6’2” but not sure on his weight. Can’t remember.
Battlescar Gigantica too small it fits my 30” inseam perfect
Battlescar Gigantica I am 6’3 1/2” and 300 lbs. I am comfortable on this bike, but I am more comfortable on Harley Davidson Road King.
Wes Clark fitting on a bike is more about height and inseam then it is about weight in my opinion.
WoodyOn2Wheels Okay, well, I have a 33” inseam or so and am okay on this bike. But highway pegs would be nice.
this would have been a great video, if there was no sound!!
Is this a good starter bike? My friend is selling his for 3,550$
the m50 was my starter bike and i dont regret it, looks good, little heavy, the torque scared the sh!t outta me for the first couple weeks but i think that how should be. your first bike needs to teach you humility. i liked it so much im getting a M109R
Too much for an 805 bro
It's almost 600 pounds. Everyone drops or ALMOST drops their first motorcycle. How strong are you? The good thing is the seat height on cruisers are low, so your feet will be planted solidly on the ground. Seems to me most first-timers go with a naked bike like a used Suzuki SV650. As for cruisers, an old Yamaha VStar 650 would be good to learn with. I learned to ride on a single cylinder Suzuki S40 (Savage) 650cc that weighed only 380 pounds. 600 lbs vs 380 lbs!
Yes great pick up. Perfect weight for a 6FT GUY like ME. LET ME KNOW if you get one IN again. I would be interested. Thanks. Merry Christmas to you and your family and friends. Take care enjoy your freedom AND Ride. 🍵🍩
Lol that was me in my 20’s… was a chef, ripped 30 mins up and down the highway almost every night on this bike (black and yellow) and had a heck of a time with it. Mini apes, Vance and Hines, and a tail tidy. I had it for 5 or 6 years and now that I think of it, I never had to change the tires lol… weird.
Ps. Came close to the family but still ridding solo!
I love th rear fender
If you're eating pizza for breakfast your not getting out to the grocery enough...
Nope, Adjust every 15,000 miles, but it's an a easy job.
Humility....humbleness....
Post It note on the tank? "don't forget the grocery" ? eh?
It's the quotes for Sean's "Words Of Wisdom". @ 1:29 you can see him read directly off the note. Cheers.
Bible quote.
honestly I'm curious how it handles the freeway for bigger guys. I'm talking like 6ft+ 250 pound + dudes, fortunately there's the comment section
I have the S50. Even more rare.
Suzuki M50 is a good bike. I jabe one I customized. It's a lot of fun out mobbing the streets around town. I wouldn't want to use it as a long diatance bike thpugh. It kimda runs out of gear at 75mph. It really needs a 6th gear. I love my M50 though. I ride it daily to work amd to get around town etc. I have a couple videos on what Ive done to it on my channel if anyone wnats to check it out. Satin black paint job (professionally dome not a rattle can job) Cobra pipes with Cobra FI200R Black fuel management and K&N. Custom seat recover with charcoal gator material. Billet fwd controls. Billet hand controls and mirrors. Chopper lic plate bracket and undertail kit, new LED lights, rear integrated tirn signals and LED front turn signals from Blue Collar Bobbers ets. It was a fun bike to customize, it's a fun bike to cruise around town on. I get tons of complimemts on it. My next bike project will be an adventure bike like V Strom 1000 (still keeping the M50, not getting rid of it)
Had a volusia 800 (basically same bike) back in the day and couldn't agree more on the 6th gear. I got rid of it because the engine was screaming on the hwy at 75 mph in 5th gear.
How is the power on this bike?
I fell alseep listening to you
Please tell Santa you need new gloves!!! ;)
Hey Bro I want to thank U for the great reviews a most importantly....the Word of God!!!
Dreams crushed....thought for sure my 2007 M50 would be a M109 in 4 yrs......dang!
God bless you shawn
Or it's for the chick getting her first cool bike. Fits perfect, great weight, good engine size.
2018: "Shipping is really cheap." 2022: "Hold my 20W50..."
Not digging the blue at all. Black and chrome and this model is perfect. Might even pick one up some day.
Don’t even know you but ur a cool dude.. I’m actually getting my first bike next week and it’s an m50 so thanks for the video
How's it go I want one
Looks like a big bike for a moped.
Heh. 😂.
Lol....they don't build big bikes for men these days.
I searching for Canon M50 camera..
hahahaha
im a christian too bro but if i was watching this to know about the bike id say i didnt learn much at all.
Does an 07 m50 have abs?
None of these bikes have ABS.
But I do believe it has fuel injection, which is sort or rare for these older bikes. The M50, C50 and Kawa Vulcan 900 have fuel inj.
@@bruhdamartinasty3636 it does have fuel injection , I got one now, fun bike!
dude, I am trying decide whether or not to buy one, all you did was make me fall off my chair laughing,,,,, at what I am not quite sure.....
SUX YOU TALKED ME OUTA BUYING THIS BIKE.
M50 is basically a c50 with an appearance package?
Schools can barely teach proper sentence structure, and you think they could teach humility? Lol
Bike is awesome.. commentary.. pretty awful..
I have the same color M50 I love mine.
Hydraulic valves?
I don't think so.
techten 101 No. Manual adjustable.
Can you start talking about he motorcycle already!!!!!
The guy that left his family!!. Lol
Dude the 2005-2009 Suzuki Boulevard m50 has a 50 c.i. or 819 and change cc motor not an 805,from 2010 to present they put the 805 with dual spark plugs and it is not the same.I have an 06 and it blows the newer one off the road, case closed.
+Tim Nelson interesting thanks for the info
Tim, you are wrong about the displacement.
It is 805 cc just like the C50, S50 and older Volusia and 800 intruder.
Motorcycle cruiser got it wrong. Look at the Bore and Stroke... Same on all of them.
83 x 74.4 or 805.1 cc.
Your wrong dude,My 06 suzuki boulevard m50 has a 50 cubic inch motor period, from 2005-2009 all c-50's and m-50's have it,from 2010 on it is the 805 cc motor with 2 spark plugs.Try doing research before you come off with mis-information.Uggh.
@@timnelson4240
I am sorry Tim, you are mistaken, Do your homework or ask an adult before you post...
The S50, M50 and C50 had the exact same 83x74.4 bore and stroke. 805.1 cc motor.
From 2005 until today.
The older Volusia 800 (2001-2004) used the same engine (805.1) except it used a single carb instead of fuel injection.
The intruder and Marauder 800 had the same bore and stroke but used twin carbs.
The Marauder had chain final drive instead of shaft.
When the Marauder became the M50, It also went from chain to shaft and was fuel injected.
Suzuki changed the cylinder heads on the Volusia to place both intakes between the cylinders,
But at no time did Suzuki make a 819 cc motor. All of them were 49.13 cubic inches and still are to this day.
You are really making a fool of yourself.
I am lookiing at the Suzuki factory shop manual for the Volusia, C50 and M50 from 2001-2009 and it is
the exact same engine size for all years. 805.1 cc.
I have wrenched on them from 2001 until today and the engines are identical in size and ( other than the
differences I mentioned above), they are the same throughout the model runs.
Oh and FYI, they have one spark plug per cylinder and have always only had one per cylinder.
This engine was also used in the VX800 from the early 1990's, but you are likely too young to remember that.
Again, do your homework before posting. Get a shop manual, learn to work on your own bikes.
If the dealer charges you for 4 sparkplugs on an 805 Suzuki, He got you sport...
Wrong again,My insurance card states that I have a 819 and change cc motorcycle, also my title states that as well.Or a 50 cubic inch, period.no more needs to be said unless the state,Suzuki and Rider Insurance are wrong.I think not.
I just left my wife and kid, M50 for LIFE! Yeah my baby was crying and my wife was begging me not to leave but c'mon! I have an M50! I will have a LOT of damage to repair with my family if I ever get a C50!
Do they make one for men
Dumb comment..
Nice save 🙏😅😅
Сука где вы такие дороги охиренные находите?????
This was full of ridiculousness
Dude, you are impossible to listen to for more than 2 minutes.
didn't even open her up...blahblah lame
it is nowhere near the same category as a Softail or a dyna
*Sharp inhale through nose, smack tongue*
Jesus was not a historical person. Theve from thry thycles
The best Cruiser ever built is the Honda 1100 Shadow. Dare to compare! I dare you!
I have. Rode back to back against my Softail many times the past 12 years my son has owned his 1100 Shadow. My Softail is the best!
Maybe for ride comfort but not reliability and maintenance and longevity.
That's a real nice bike and substantially more powerful than the 1100 shadow. I prefer Shadow mainly because its a dry clutch and shaft drive. The Vstar has some real nice features and is probably as reliable as the shadow minus the Belt drive and wet clutch.
VTX 1300
My vn800 rides damn good and holds up to my abuse. I can beat a shadow also. The vn800s are quick. They keep up with alot of bikes, youd be surprised. Got a few minor mods to it also.
The gas cap is upside down! Unbelievable! What a shmuck! 😜👍
This motorcycle rocks. Just did a video on a battery change for this bike: czcams.com/video/Niso2p8Pljk/video.html
Buddy of mine has one and it is supper reliable!!! Such easy maintenance too!
Thumbs up from Biker's Garage 101, Alicante, Spain. Bikers paradise
Thanks for taking the time to share. Always a source of great insight!
Ride safe bro!!!
This is the worst bike review. I mean bro what in the world are you talking about. Smh
