Long distance only works if you and your partner both have a plan and destination together e.g. marriage, 100% sure that you guys will move in together etc. If you're just dating, you're wasting your time, trust me. The amount of stress, concern, loneliness, alongside giving up social events in order to avoid arguments with your long distance partner, is not worth it AT ALL...unless, like i said, you guys are serious about the relationship and have an end goal together. Especially if you're young, don't waste your youth on this kind of stuff. I advice you to go out, explore, meet people in person, have fun. Heck, relationships will only leave you with scars unless you're ready to settle. So enjoy life and avoid any kind of romantic relationship, let alone long distance if you want to live a life where you can look back in the future like "I have so many memories and had so much fun in my teens/20s".

Honestly, this wasn't a clear explanation to long distance relationship. LDR doesn't work, because it takes trust, a lot of trust. You probably think that your partner from faraway is telling you the truth through calls, and you're too confident about it, but fact is you don't have the evidence, it's like telling you're mom that you're home but you went straight to the club just so your mom would stop bothering you, and now since you lied, you see your mom as a distraction. Same thing with LDR. One day, you'll see your partner as a "distraction" and from that point you'll begin wondering if you should break up with her or not.

Yes it can work but 99.9 percent of the time it doesent because u cant touch u cant be there for each other physically and u or the other person can meet someone else and u might wind up liking that perso in ur area. The other person could wind up cheating on u, and u won't know it. One of u has to move and that means giving up ur family and friends and environment that ur used to. Theres just too many risks.
