  • Crowds of protestors have gathered again in the Georgian capital Tbilisi after police broke up a demonstration outside the parliament building.
    (Subscribe: bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)
    -------
The protests have brought tens of thousands of people onto the streets in an attempt to stop MPs passing a controversial 'foreign agents' law, which they say mirrors a law used by Russia's President Putin to crack down on opponents and stifle freedom of speech.

I am your sister from Yemen, and by God, I did not speak except out of hunger and poverty. My mother, my sisters, and I have been displaced from our homes because of the war. We are in a state that only God knows about To Him is He, and He is the best disposer of affairs, among those who have brought us to this state. By God Almighty, I did not write this appeal out of distress and poverty, O All-Knowing One. In us, I hope for you. By God Almighty, Lord of the Magnificent Throne, he eats what I have in the house, and by God, my brothers, they will sit down today There is no food, and by God, we are in a very difficult situation. 6 of us fled into the house, and my father died, and there is no one to depend on us, and we live in a rented house “We cannot pay the rent we owe.” ''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' ''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' ''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' 'My brother, my first words are that I swear by God on the Book of God that I will not lie to you, nor deceive, nor deceive. I am a Yemeni girl displaced from the war. My family and I, in Ayat Al-Shahrab, have 15,000 Yemenis among us, and now we owe 45,000 for 3 months, and the owner of the house is one of the people who will not have mercy. By God, my brother, everything will come. One day he insulted us and talked about us and wanted to leave the house and take him to the street because we could not pay him the rent. The neighbors saw us crying and came back to talk to the neighbors and gave us the end of the week. We paid him an oath, may God have mercy on him, he will take us out to the street and we will have mercy on him. Our country is because of this war, and we cannot find food for our day, and my sisters and I are living on a embassy. Our father is dead, may God have mercy on him, and we have no one in this world who has been with us in these harsh circumstances. My little sisters went out to the street and saw the neighbors eating, and they stopped at their door to give them bread, even if they broke it, and by God who has the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, they closed the door and expelled them. And they came back crying. They were dying of hunger. No one had mercy on them. I gave them a holiday. I would have made a living. Now blame one of us. Help us with a kilo of flour. I swear to God. I am dying of hunger. My brother, I am an alien to God and then to you. I want your help for the sake of God. I implore you, by God, love goodness and help me. WhatsApp me on this number 00967717354582 and ask for a name. And send my card, and do not be late, and may God reward you with all the best. Help us and save us before they throw us out in the street. We become weak or die of hunger. I'm from China, I support the Georgean people
but I feel a premonition about this
the protests are framed in a racially-based way
but we need to state our vision clearly
that this is NOT about racism
but it is against a totalitarian regime
and our solidarity is with Russian people too
if this is not made clear, innocent lives may be lost
