He outperformed him for one regular season game, but the season is not a sprint, but a marathon. We'll see what Embiid can do if they see each other in the playoffs.
I hope Embid can keep playing like this. He is seriously good. I like Giannis, but his game is kinda just bullrushing into the paint over and over. It’s super effective, just not really fun to watch. There are some really great players in the league right now, but the rules are a little too tweaked for offense.
Embiid is more talented though flames out come post-season because his body cannot handle all that weight and all those games. You can see how he’s gassed as early as now because he’s carrying a lot literally and figuratively.
One creator put it best, Giannis focused on his body and game while KD only perfected his game. Their numbers against the Cs in the playoffs shows which works out for the long run.

@Larry James I'm pretty sure the bucks have gotten the best of the 76ers in recent years but no doubt that was an impressive win by them. They were down at half and lost Maxey on top of already not having harden. The only reason why I'm not completely embarrassed is because of how banged up the Bucks are as well. If you ask me, I still think that the Bucks’s biggest rival is the Celtics. They have both faced each other, in the playoffs 3 times, for the last 5 seasons. The Bucks and 76ers have never faced each other in the playoffs as of recently. The 76ers are more like a regular season rival for the Bucks.

Those Philly fans are rude with the way they heckle people on the court. And it paid off with Giannis missing all those free throws. Guy had a terrible night and got gut checked by a giant like Embiid.
Less patient folks would have done something else after and Giannis run into a punk like Trez while trying to clear his head following a bad game.
League should really rein things in on how much personal fans/staff can antagonize visitors, hard fouls that look more suited for NFL hits, and do random drug tests.

I don’t see this no different from when the Rockets kicked Steph off the court. Or when players block shots and play defense through the whistle. The Sixers will see the Bucks if they want a shot at the championship so I don’t see any issue with a player from either team giving each other a hard time on their home floor. It’s just rivalry and it makes great basketball when they meet again. People overblowing this is exactly why the NBA is so weak when it comes to rivalries.

As a Sixers fan: (a) I thought it looked very much like Embiid made a dirty play (but who knows his actual intent?); (b) I’m not sure what the rule/etiquette is when it comes to post-match FT shooting on an opponent’s court but MH came across as petty (although Giannis shouldn’t have pushed over the steps - he’s better than that and if he was allowed to shoot FTs there were more ladder-friendly avenues available to him).

I felt it was pretty clearly *not* a dirty play; rather it was Smart being up to his usual sh!thousery and Embiid having none of it lol.

I didn’t have a big problem with Embid dropping the shoulder on him during the game. The way Giannis plows into the lane, I think some “bad boys” mentality is the correct idea.

Giannis was still wrong for screaming at the minimum wage guy who was just doing what his boss told him to do and then throwing down the ladder, he should've screamed at Montrez or whoever was instructing the employees to pack up the court or just walked away from the start and be the bigger man. Yes he got done dirty during the game, he also played bad and was frustrated but the right answer is to never take it out on just some staff member / equipment manager who's just following instructions, that's some low ass shit right there. He had the right to be mad, but he handled the situation like a prick.
