    Hello sir
I have a problem with choosing the best test for me, I am hesitating between taking the SAT or the ACT.
But the problem is I know that the digital SAT more convenient than the ACT. but when it comes to teh curve the ACT is way too much better and easier so I decided to take the ACT but when I talked to my colledge counselor about it she told me that the SAT better for the school that I want to apply for WEILL CORNELL QATAR, and if you see the requirements they take both test, it doesn't matter for them, and other problem is they put the avarage score for the SAT which is 1530 without putting the avarage scores for the ACT. Does that mean they prefer the SAT over the ACT
But still they accept both of them

Hello there score prep! I absolutely adore and appreciate how big of a help you’ve been to us students! I had a few questions I’d like to ask
    1. Are public universities in the US safe to apply in terms of visa acceptance and costs? They seem to be my only option as my budget is not that high…
    2. Is there any way I could reach out to you or your organisation via a website or contact number to get personal guidance because right now I’m very lost on how to go about choosing which schools to apply and how to apply with my best foot forward.
    3. My DSAT is soon and I’m really anxious, I would really appreciate if you could make a crash course for us! This is my only chance at getting a good score as I cannot afford retaking the test in terms of both time and financial pressure.
Thank you so much! You’re an angel in human form! Sending lots of love your way!

Hey there! So for #1, yes it's totally safe for visa purposes to go to public universities. Just avoid community college, since it's often the cheapest option and everyone gets admitted, embassies don't trust it. For #2, go to prepwithscore.com and hit me up on whatsapp!
And regarding #3, I'm going to do another live-stream Q&A before the test so people can ask questions and get a little more practice in for the June DSAT, but I think we're set on material and videos for now.

I attend to montclair state nj I didn’t summit my appeal for SAP appeal which was due on 7/14 I haven’t emailed anybody at my college because I have no idea of what to do what do you think is my best course of action

Were you trying to get additional financial aid? Why didn't you appeal before the deadline? And how much more do you need?

@@score-yourcollegecounselor well my situation was that last year I attended without any aid since I was kicked out of my house by my parents and I’m living at my best friends house at the moment so I didn’t filled out fasfa last semester so I received no aid and my grades were terrible because I was going through a lot. So this semester I was going to try to dorm but I have a large hold and since my grades weren’t great I needed to fill out an SAP appeal which I didn’t fill out and it’s past the deadline so Idk what to do because I won’t receive aid. I filled out fasfa for this year as an independent and requested a decency overwrite but they require a letter from two people but they didn’t allowed me to summit a letter from my friends parents.

@@score-yourcollegecounselor I was considering a private loan if they didn’t provide me with financial aid but idk if there’s a better alternative.

Can you talk to your parents to get their information and submit the forms yourself? If the school's financial aid office won't accept letters from your friend's parents, then I would ask them who CAN send letters and try to get them from people they will accept.
You may want to consider taking a break until your situation is more stable. I realize it's difficult when you move out of home, but I wouldn't want you to take on a ton of debt either. How much are you expected to pay this year?

Hello Score Prep, thank you so much for your content🙏 I have a question: Should international students apply for Colleges Or Universities?

    • @score-yourcollegecounselor
      @score-yourcollegecounselor  Před rokem

There really isn't a big difference in the US, don't worry too much about whether it's called a college or university. But I would encourage you to avoid applying to community college, as those options tend to be the cheapest and often the visa gets rejected for that reason. But a liberal arts college like Beloit College is a great option, and is just as valid as choosing a university.
