It sadly won't there is a limit but it is huge.

@@branttheman244 I wish you could tell when you are getting near that limit, like a counter on the rope spool or something. Too often I will be traveling to connect the 2nd grappling hook and "POP". Too far. Damn it!

I can really appreciate how the hype for this game isn’t so much in what you know going in, but what you don’t know and come to find out as you and others play. It’s like an exciting gift that keeps on giving!

should play as the game is intended.. if you can see plain as day in caves.. whats the point? you lose immersion and it makes it SO much easier..

You can also walk away after shooting the Zip-Line gun, the range is insane

For the zip line, you can shoot then walk close enough to your other location and get a longer one

I had been waiting years to watch you play this game. I tried to play the forest, but it was too scary and I’m bad at building bases, so it’s more fun to watch someone who is good at it.
i have a 7 story "corporate tower" that I finshed last night, each floor has a zipline access that takes you out. Those ziplines meet at a central hub that now have connectors that take you to different parts of the island. I just finished the foundation on a floating base above water and so tree platforms that take me to nice drop spots. Working on access to the beach + a pirate boat base I want to make. Ziplines are amazing.
If you feel like it you should share a link to a private vid of your build if you don't want it to clash with your other content. I'm interested to see if it will influence content on this channel any; it sounds awesome, and judging by the fun had in this vid here it couldn't hurt.
In the forest years ago I realized ziplines enable you to kite groups of cannibals. Put towers everywhere and zip lines in between with little mini bases. You simply zip away and they will de aggro. When you get back, do some minor repairs and you're golden. Looking to test this in sons.
This was a great video and I enjoyed every minute of it. Looking forward to episode 5! Also the base looks awesome. I really like the storage system with the selves looks really nice.
Some Tips for you Broadbent
1.Add important item to your backpack and hold Invertory button for hotkeys.
2.Put GPS locator on are stick for waypoint it's easier to find your base.
3.If you near a music box/radio you can tell Kelvin to GET - RADIO and to give it to you.
4.if you have full tech armor you see better at night.

Yeah I did a zipline around the world in the first game. What I did is just make tree platforms and go from tree to tree that way they cant get attacked and you can travel in the night time without getting attacked as well.
So I've found in my own testing the zip line does have a limited range, if you shoot it and then walk with it, you'll hear the reel click as you walk, the clicking will slow down as you reach the limit of the distance and you've then still got the range of the shooting to max the distance out

The zipline gun is an air-powered device, so it has a rather short range. Ziplines presumably can go for about as long as you can run with the line's end - the balance would end up being the sheer amount of rope you'll need for it.
Hey @ Broadbent if you put a log storage below the zipline the logs automatically go into the log storage just to let you know love the vids mate

@@oab me and my mate did that earlier as well, were surprised it worked :D sadly log storage for now only hold 6 logs, so just build multiple next to each other

The 'Machete' looks like its in actuality a Kukri. Its a traditional nepalese weapon used in the military. Its said the traitions state once it has unsheathed it must draw blood before it can be re-sheathed
felt like yesterday when you were building that stone pyramid in the original game! love the consistent uploads
here's a tip for you, in combat if dealing with tough or fast enemies and don't have time to use a stun, throw a log at them if one is around. logs will give a slight stun, possibly giving you some time to move, reposition, etc..
also it feels badass chucking a log at a big enemy like nothing, then kicking his ass in a tag-team move

My friends and I built a Zipline rail system that spans almost the whole map. We can get anywhere in just minutes. We even built lines going to the top of the highest peak. So fun

You should make a super long zip line like from your house to the center of the map if it can go that far or just test the max length of the zip lines love the content
the kind of funny thing is, you can just use a sled to go down mountains, but yeah going up them is great.
You kind send tree logs up and down the zips, and I saw online, the logs fly off the zipline at the end, so you can place a log holder so that the log flies into it.

I remember that old zipline system.. The one at the huge crater/hole. you connect it across the map. Nostalgic remember the hustle and effort you spend each video to finish the build. also that building floating in the middle of the hole. good old days

Even though an NPC he is so neat to have in a game and I’ve seen so many channels be mean to him.
He actually was killed by cannibals on another channel I watch and the gamer was so sad bc he took care of Kelvin very well.

i really need to know how to do this...i made a spiral stair case, by accident, i built normal stairs and accidentally removed a log, it stretched the whole stairs and made it kind of spirals but i cant really recreate it,

Tip for fighting the finger monsters:
Stab them with the spear in the legs they collaps and cant attack.

The zipline makes building tree platform bases way more enticing. So far the cannables and Mutants do not target trees. They do climb them but they cant get onto your platforms that I have seen. I am building a tree base run across the map to all the camp sites. May end up adding the tribe camps to the network at some point.

Pro tip: You can key bind stuff in your inventory. Just mouseover the thing you wish to bind, and click the key number you wish to bind it to. For example the hover over Modern Axe, then press 1.

don't forget you can place rocks around the base of your structures to reinforce them.

Thoughts on protecting your zip line "in-between stations" from attack:
Maybe build shorter spiked walls just around the station, right up to the cliff’s edge on either side so they can’t get past-spaced with enough room around the station away from the cliff to land and take off easily, with a platform if needed for your protection jutting out a little past the cliff’s edge for take off and landing from the other direction.
I don’t even have this game because I’m on console, but I’m hooked on these videos! Wondering if that would work?

idk if you got the katana yet in another save. but it is very OP, 2 or 3 hits takes down the regular cannibals, idk about the club ones, red ones and mutants
The odd time, I'll take a swing, and just lop off a cannibals limb, lol.
Makes clearing camps *_SO_* much faster.
Pro tip if u hover over an item in ur inventory and hit hit 1 to 9 u can have hot keys so u can cycle through your important items quickly. Love the vids
I noticed the supplies respawn again later in the cases ive already looted that location twice now but you can only loot the machete once. I think you have to sleep for a couple days or something then they respawn. Can also loot the crates again where you start the game but the supplies are random now not always the same.
To get max distance, you can walk the zipline out to find out how far it will go, exactly like placing ropes for rope-bridges. Just shoot your first anchor point and then walk as far away from it as you can before shooting your second anchor point. You'll know you've gone too far when the white target dot isn't showing anymore. They can cross a whole lake, so you'll be surprised by the max distance.
****You can avoid them tearing down your ziplines and platforms by using the treehouse platforms instead of building your own. Just cut down nearby trees to keep tree-climbing cannibals from jumping over onto your treeplatform.
Oh this episode has been a great discovery for myself as well.

No throwing logs is awesome. You can even throw them at a log storage and the storage will collect it automatically. Works great with a zipline log catcher too.

4:12 you can enter at that location, saw it in another LP. Can't get the grapple from that side though, as there's no way to traverse the cable.

When you tap block button you do a parry, works on most enemies except the big guy and mutants. Also the heavy attack on the modern axe is pretty busted. Great video!

especially big guys.
it just stun locks them and they burn to death.
if big guy even gets one hit on me he got lucky.
becuase stun from a torch is like instant on first hit

Another pro tip: If you put a log holder on the end of a zipline it will put the log automatically in it
