Just found this channel by accident. Was a good accident. I like your delivery. I can relate to you more than learning from the other channels. I'm a Black American and trying to learn Spanish for my upcoming trips. In July, going to Mexico for 2months, then Dominican Republic for 2months, then Puerto Rico for 2months. I'm starting to learn now, so by July, I should be pretty good at Spanish.
You explain things so well. I'm so glad I found your channel. Thank you so much for doing these videos.
You explained this very well. I have a good grasp on this concept, but it was a good refresher for me. Thank you!
Muchas Gracias Rocky
Saludos de Escocia
Muchas gracias por este video! 🤓
Gracias mi amigo!
muy buen video. gracias por tu ayuda
Just watched this video whilst on Holiday on Benidorm beach. Good content and this topic has finally clicked with me. Thank you for the content. Enjoyed the video.
Estoy aprendiendo Espanol in Glasgow y es una escuela muy excellente
Pero mi gusta mucho sus video
I've seen you briefly before when I'd be watching YT videos then all the sudden those annoying pop`up ads would appear, then I'd wait 5 secs to delete those ads. I didn't know you were an actual .....umm... 'real person ' , but when I saw this video in the categories, I recognized you, and I am glad I watched this video. you explained everything so well, a little fast and overwhelming at times, but very well presented and only practice will make anyone better.
Is this the guy from i love basketball
¡Excelente!
This was amazing! I may just pass my exam tomorrow! Great video!

Gracias, Rocky!!!
Muchas gracias Frank!!
We use estan or son with Ustedes and ellos .. how can I know if the speaker means you all or they ?
Hi Marian! Perhaps this will help you - context, and of course rule of thumb…if there is confusion, simply clarify…(por ejemplo:) ..”están Uds en la casa?” O “están ellos en la casa?” - ves que puse énfasis añadiendo “Uds”o “ellos” - I hope that could be of a little help in your journey! ☺️
I’m taking Rocky’s course right now it’s great if you stick with it & give it priority....this video was very helpful as well.
Kate thank you so much for the kind words :) So happy to students like you inside the course!
Hola Rocky, ¿estarías dispuesto a leer algunos cuentos en español, mientras nos presentas el texto en español al mismo tiempo? Me parece que escuchar y leer cuentos en español realmente funciona para mí. Me gusta escucharte hablar en español. ¡Gracias!
holy shit coach rock makes Spanish videos
New subscriber! ¿De donde eres?
Hey Rocky, would you say your videos would help me with Mexican Spanish?
That jacket is dope.
🔥❤️🔥
Hey where can I find your classes?
wait..Coach Rock???
Great video! But please note that in 7:04, "La cita ESTÁ en la oficina del médico" is not correct. It would be: "La cita ES en la oficina del médico". If you use the first sentence, you are saying something like: "The person I'm meeting with is at the doctor's office right now." Which doesn't make much sense. Hope this helps. :-)
La cita es en la oficina del médico. La cita es en Nueva York. La cita es en mi casa. La cita será en Londres. La cita fue en Madrid. La cita fue ayer.
When you are cold, use "tener" : tengo frio. we don't use ser or estar for talking about how old people are, if you're hot or cold, or if you're hungry or thirsty. We use tener for these types of sentences.
I thought so!
💥💥💥
Yeah!
Rocky how you been yo? Ain’t heard from you ☮️
2:58, 5:34
di is all ADVANCED STUFF how to BEGIN??
“Ser” refers to whichever facts “sit” and “estar” refers to whichever facts “stand.”
"ser" = WHO/WHAT you are. "estar" = HOW you are (situation).
I am still so confused with estar vs ser. When i listen to examples I can hear "esta" clearly however when I listen to examples of "ser" it is never actually used in a phrase. like el es frio vs el esta frio. I am hoping it will just click eventually but it is frustrating!
actually i think you are saying "ser las doce" it is just so fast i was hearing so and se but maybe you are really saying "SER" ??
Thanks for commenting! I'd be happy to help. Can you tell me the exact time stamp you're referring to?
@@SpeakSpanishFaster one of the times is 2:23 I can hear the "estar" clearly but when you go to say it the right way, using "ser" I hear "el es de Columbia" which is whats confusing me because in all the examples I've listen to I cant seem to pick up anyone actually saying "ser"
@@mollieking5523 Yes the correct way is él es de colombia. Ser is the "TO BE" form. Es is a conjugation of Ser. So for example, if I say "He wants to be the president." It would be "él quiere ser el presidente." But if I say, he is the president. It's él es el presidente. Es is just a form of ser.
Ser conjugation is
Soy - I am
Eres - You are
Es - He is
Somos - We are
Son - They are
@@SpeakSpanishFaster just like estoy estas esta estan estades!?! Makes perfect since thank you so much!!!
In Spanish you say "tengo frio" for I am cold
Correct, you can say "tengo frio" and you can also say "estoy frio."
For example, "Ves, estoy frío como tú."
Thanks so much for watching!
