The experience yes, but I don't know about the confidence part lol. I just love making soap. Cold process, hot process, liquid soap, and I'm even getting into cream soap and melt n pour from scratch :) Soaping for me is very therapeutic. I have bi-polar disorder and keeping myself busy really helps with the roller coaster ride my emotions go through each day. It just really helps me :)

Discount 3oz of water from lye & water, put 3tbs sugar+3ozWater make a simple syrup. After soap has gone to vasoline stage, add butters stir cool down below 170* add syrup and stir don't need glycerin this makes more fluid soap then add fragrance and hope it doesn't accelerate thicker. I get nice swirls love Neon colors from WSP crafters choice no morphing, use heated sm crocks or other heat safe glass dish, heat them before dividing up soap that way it stays warm till you get done always good to have everything planed out in advance work fast. Milk sours from heat and some suppliers dilute there Foils. ah NG. To have a harder soap add 2tbs stearic acid to oils at beginning completely melt + 2tbs white Kaolin clay when you add lye then stick blend you may need to adjust, this is for a 12 bar loaf recipe at 4.5oz bars Clay helps hold fragrance to soap its good for your skin also. Don't do a bunch of stirring maybe once after stick blend in the lye water clay will make it thick, then again when Volcanoing after that comes vaseline stage the more you stir the sugar water in it will become more fluid make sure it's cooled down some. This works for me Happy Soaping

    Hi there,
you can also substitute yogurt instead of the cream. I use the yogurt and it turns to a nice silky batter. I learned that tip from watching "living on a dime"

Hello Valerie thank you for your video. I love learning from them. May I ask, when adding milk or yoghurt at the end of the cook, doesn't it turn rancid at all in the soap. I want to try this but bit nervous about an off milk smell. 😏 Katherine. X Looking forward to hearing back from you xx
