  • Well Hello my fellow you tubers ; )THIS IS NOT A TUTORIAL
    I decided to try SBHP method for the first time and I absolutely love it. I have been making soap the hot process method for a few years now and it's my preferred method because I love the instant gratification as well as the mildness of the soap as a result.
    I have make soap fast before on accident.. ; /.. but I never thought to keep doing it, so Thank You Ms. Sharon Johnson or better yet " Hot Process queen." for you willingness to share your technique.

    Lovely soap. I am sure you worked hard on developing your technique and recipe. In a community where many want the shortcut 'box cake' recipe for free, it is refreshing to see someone that respects the science and the experimentation process necessary for creating a quality product. Blessings and continued success to you!

    Keep looking on CZcams for hot process fluid method. Other people do it and give you the recipe. Not everyone uses Sharon's methods. There are others. Watched Sharon's vids with recipe, then when she started selling the book, the video disappeared. Not complaining, but if you can't afford it, look elsewhere.

      The book is a total ripoff priced at $59.00... reduced from $69.00 Oh how kind of her. This isn't magic or uber secret formulas. She discovered it by mistake, like a lot of different processes in homemade soap have been. There an interview of her by some British lady and even the comments there are turned off... go figure.
      There are some people having issues with the process of the soap not tracing as expected in the fast time frame. I believe a lot of that is due to the types and ratios of the oils / fats used.

    This seems to create a cream soap - like soft whipped cream. I noticed you added yogurt at the end, so I guess this would also be known as "fluid hot process". Interesting. I've been wondering how to create a cream soap. Seems like you perfected Sharon's method. I don't suppose you'd care to share your secrets or the recipe you use. Do you include salt and sugar in your water/lye mixture? I know one fluid soaper does just that.

  • @fitzbunch6
    @fitzbunch6 Před 8 lety +11

    I have tried this twice now and I can't seem to get it fluid like yours. I did a recipe with a ratio of 38% water to oils like Sharon said but what am I doing wrong? It was still thick. I used regular yogurt. Maybe I stick blended too long cuz it went to gel phase and then I covered it like you did. Any tips? Can't afford to buy Sharon's ebook. I watched her video and then she put it private so I'm sure I followed steps.

    • @lmturmenne

If she uses Sharon's way, she could get in trouble because of copyright. that could cause her video to be taken down. I tried your link but it said not found.

    • @khione8044
      @khione8044 Před 4 lety +2

      @Sundos Rasheed
      The secret to this method is Hot Oils and Hot Lye (do not let your Lye cool down). Make sure both are around 200*F when mixed (as low as 180*F is ok). This will cook the soap by itself, without needing any external heating unit (while many still do it in a Crockpot to help insulate the soap batter, the heat isn't needed and can be turned off). Cooking it at such high Temperatures will guarantee to make it Volcano (often times more than once). Once it has reached Vaseline Stage, adding Greek Yogurt in helps to bring back the fluidity even more.
      Look up Countertop Hot Process, High Temp Hot Process, and Stick Blender Hot Process. They are all almost the exact same thing (CTHP and HTHP are the same just different names), although SBHP uses the Stick Blender a lot more in order to keep adding in more heat into the cooking process to speed it up faster. (Can also burn out a Stick Blender due to over heating if you aren't careful)

      I've seen someone use the method where the pot is over a source of heat like on the stove. But you have to have a heat source as that's the key to hot process, having everything stay hot. then if you wanted to split the backup to do different colors, you would definitely have to keep those dishes and utensils in the oven at a low temperature because you don't want to put anything cold in there.
