Your opinion of the Cybertruck is exactly the same as mine. I have coworkers tell me itâs ugly and too expensive. Thank you for sharing your delivery experience and your explanation of why you chose to buy and comparing it to diesel truck ownership. I was smiling along with you and I wonât sleep the night before my delivery!
Congrats fellow country boy CT owner. It really is a kick ass truck. We have similar opinions on everything. Great job reviewing.
I also find it really cool that you mentioned being able to monitor the dog in the back seat from the rear view mirror... That is a really cool perspective because most people criticized that rear view mirror for being both too small and unusable when the tonneau cover is closed... Thank you for actually mentioning a positive about the mirror and bringing in a whole new perspective.
I found out today that when the tonneau cover is open, the rearview mirror display goes away on the screen automatically. There is a button on the steering wheel where you can immediately bring it back up if you like. When the tonneau cover is closed though it shows rear camera. Either way you can control it from a button on the right side of the steering wheel.
Your Cybertruck looks amazing. Thanks for the details inspection video and also during your drive home. Congratulations!
Great video! I'm coming from a diesel F250 and can't wait for my Cybertruck.
You didn't mention the bottle opener.
Congratulations. I hope you keep us posted on the ownership experience of this vehicle.
I think that's really cool that you can adjust the front seats from the back seat so that back seat riders can get more legroom if nobody is in the front seat.. that's a feature that I've never heard of before and haven't seen on any other review. I know there's been a lot of reviews on this truck but so far there has been two features of this truck that I have seen on your initial video that haven't been mentioned on any other video. Please continue to keep these videos coming. Thanks for a great video
So I was at church today and one of my friends came up and said you better watch out thereâs a guy that cut his leg on the cyber truck door. I saw in your video where you all said that there were no sharp edges on the cybertruck. This is just another example where the FUD thatâs been spread about the cyber truck is completely false.
I 100% agree, and also the person this happened to admitted that it wouldâve happened on any car door and that he was clumsy and didnât even want to go in for stitches, but of course, it made big news.
I was at church the other day and there was a guy who had a missing leg. Do you think it was severed by a cybertruck?
Thanks for explaining the delay for FSD on the cybertruck. I think you are the only one that made that point clear. Nice review, by the way.đ
Congrats... đđđȘ. I enjoyed all your comments..
Happy for you brother !!
Excellent review đ
Im still waiting for mine.
43:27 thats my thought on electric cars. No one is refining fuel at their house.
Steer by wire is no problem at all as long as the electronics don't fail. Imagine if we didn't have backup manual controls on airplanes. I'd be afraid of the computer killing someone.
Fighter jets have steer by wire and so do F1 cars. There are three redundancies in the steering of the cyber truck. I am not worried about it in the slightest. And after owning the truck, I absolutely love the steer by wire. It would not trade it in for the fear of it not working.
When did you place your order? I ordered 2 years ago and have no idea if the call is imminent or years away.
There are some websites online you can use to determine where your reservation lands by using the reservation number. I ordered during the live announcement. My reservation was under 4000 and my Vin number was just over 6000. I can tell you everyone is underestimating how fast Tesla is making these trucks. There were nine of them being delivered when I picked up mine so you may get yours sooner than you think. Hard to tell though. Definitely worth the weight build quality is better than any Tesla Iâve ever owned. I ran into a model S owner that said he purposely waited two years to order his but after seeing mine, he regretted it he wanted it now because he was very pleased withbuild quality.
@@SoaringVideos Thanks and I hope you are right. I tried using one of those sites and even with my order being in early 2022 it said I was over one millionth in line. At the current rate it seems like it will take years. I am guessing that maybe 1 out of 2 maybe 3 will actually move forward with a purchase but even so, it seems like Tesla has a long ways to go before many of us will get the chance.
Great video! Have fun with your new truckđ. I would love to have one too but unfortunately itâs not possible to buy the cybertruck in Europe.
Kyleâs doing great but he leads with his ego he thinks his opinion is the only thing that matters. I donât think he thinks there are other voices with other opinions other than hisđ .
Day one of a new vehicle is usually a great experience. Let us know how your first breakdown goes. Show us how the truck stands up to 100k of rugged use. How does it perform in 2 feet of snow? How does it handle an oversized load? How do the electronics and battery hold up under extreme conditions?
You know it! I will share the good and the bad!
50:36 "Elon Thank you" = FANTASTIC
Just such a shame the Elon haters don't understand that we have Leonardo DaVinci in our times and all we do is bash him.
I won't full on bash the truck since you are clearly enjoying your new purchase. I don't agree with being overly understanding regarding the software development, that is the manufacturers problem, not yours. Like most new car owners you are singing the praises, like I did last year when I bought my new car. The best sour grapes comment was from my brother who claimed I would never be able to find a parking space for it. As for the rather strange scenario of carrying a generator in the back, it might be useful to get you out of trouble if you run out of range.
Enjoy your truck...
I realize how different the Cybertruck is from current Teslas with self-driving capabilities. As part of the beta testing, I know that Tesla requires real-life data to develop the software. The steer-by-wire system, highly adjustable suspension, vehicle dynamics, and more make it clear that significant changes would be needed in the programming to make it work for the Cybertruck and nationwide testing. My prediction is that we will see a version of it by August.
@@SoaringVideos we will see, naively I would suspect that the core software for collision avoidance and hazard recognition (with the limited sensors) would be very similar. Certainly progress has been made with FSD.
Congratulations
I've had many a second thought after buying a gently used 2023 Model X Plaid with 3k miles for $97k. Ugh. Couldn't convince the missus otherwise. Hell man, I'm gonna have to work this out somehow. haha. Great video.
Some people trying to resell them for $180k lol
So just regular DM CT not FS or $100 but $80k?
Question.. do the front windows not actually go down all the way do they always leave the a triangle there?... I understand they're trying to implement as many triangles as possible but that just seems uncomfortable if trying to ride with the windows down with your arm out the window..,. I think there should be an option to have it go down all the way or to leave a triangle
The windows go down all the way. So it is very comfortable. What is interesting though is that when the windows are down and the doors open, the small portion of the window stays up making an excellent handle. As soon as you close the door, the window will drop all the way down hidden in the door again.
Thanks for the clarification. This is a feature that I haven't seen on any other reviews of the truck and I think I have watched all of them. I have just subscribed to your channel because you are bringing a lot of clarification about this truck that no other channel has brought yet. I also like the point of views that you're sharing here. Thanks for the great video and I hope you keep them coming.
â@@SoaringVideos
I think that is its intended use. The design guy (Hanss?) used it for that in one of their videos.
I checked it out on a demo one and it seemed SUPER solid and able to take it. Should be more easily cleanable than the stainless.
I did notice the rears dont do it, would be cool to see implemented on the rear too. I did forget to roll the windows up and see if it was still a viable handle (the windows) when up for everyday use.
Thanks for the detailed video and not rushing through. Kind of wish they would have trickle charged it to 100% for delivery day though.
Hey haterz, understand transportation evolution. From horse buggy/carriage, to internal combustion engines in 1860, fast forward to THE NEW FUTURE OF TRAVELING- EVâs dammit!
Get used to it. Itâs not going anywhere. By 2040, your sphincter will have evolved and settled in. Now, thatâs not to say ICE will be gone completely-we will always need it in DOT. But for most consumers by 2040, weâll be electric baby!
Congrats on your truck my friendâŠ. Iâm right behind you! Awaiting my MVPA w/ VIN - already secured my financial- just waiting on the VIN.
Wait a minute you said that your reservation number was around 4,000... Current production rate is over 1,000 per week, so my question is as a Tesla stock investor is why are you just now able to get it? At the current run rate you should have gotten this months ago....
Because Tesla employees and other people were chosen before a common person like me. For example, people with referral points were able to cash them in for early deliveries. All in all Iâm very happy how fast I got mine and they sure are making a lot. I saw five more on a truck coming in today. And thatâs just my area. I think people are underestimating how quickly they can make these trucks.
As a Tesla stock investor, you should be aware that Elon bullshits about figures.
Yeah I do understand that employees came first and then there was other CZcamsrs that used referral credits to jump the line and that some celebrities were able to jump the line... I'm glad that you got yours now because this was a great video and provided some insights that I haven't seen on any other cyber truck video. As an allen Tesla investor I greatly appreciate these new insights. I'm now a subscriber to your channel!
âThatâs a solid questionâ whatever the hell that means from the Tesla representative
Nice motor, but I'm against touch screens in a car, cause of so many accidents with the distractions.
Good luck with that restriction....
Thereâs an aftermarket upfitter 20 minutes west of Chicago that installs regular aftermarket tactile stereo head units with bypass panels that include all the normal controls- buttons and knobs for folks who prefer no distractions while driving, or who just like the feel of real knobs. They offer systems for MANY new/late model vehicles, adding more all the time. Their business is booming, itâs about a 6 week wait to get in. All these new vehicles integrating everything into their infotainment systems have created a great new market for retrofitting. Weâre just in the infancy of it- good old aftermarket giving people more options đ.
Did you just make that up?
Wait a minute you can charge at 6 cents per kilowatt.... How is that even possible... National average is 16 cents per kilowatt... Are you achieving this because you have solar and powerwalls... And if that's the case you're not actually charging at 6 cents per kilowatt because you're having to pay for the solar and the power walls... Granted overtime it would level out and then you would be charging at a much lower rate after the system is paid off... But if it's not solar plus power walls then how are you achieving 6 cents per kilowatt hour.... That's an insanely cheap rate and I would love to be able to get that rate
Thatâs just what we pay here between 9 PM and 4 PM the next day at $.06. Any power use between 4 PM and 9 PM is $.16 a kilowatt. Whatâs very nice is that our Tesla vehicles and our Tesla chargers allow us to pick the time that we allow the vehicle to charge, so we utilize the peak and off peak price structure of Poudre Valley REA which is our company. We are very fortunate to be able to charge both our Model Y and Cybertruck at six cents a kilowatt.
Thank you for the clarification. I noticed that you have replied to all of my comments, and you have done so quickly. I really appreciate not just the way that you promptly supply but the way that you give very good insight and clear communication. I have subscribed to your channel now. Thank you for the great video
Your defense of the range is odd. If Tesla reduced the range to reduce the price you would have a point. They didnt. Your range is 90miles - 290 miles max. They raised the price of the truck as well so you get a half full battery pack and still had to pay $80-$100k
Tesla survives of guys like you that are willing to pay $100k for a brand new vehicle thats scratched, poor quality finish thats missing features you already paid for.
You should get what you paid for. Not less
I will show a video with the range. The range is over 300 miles and youâre trying to compare other vehicles to something that is like no other itâs stainless steel so I guess itâs all just your opinion. Thank you for your comment and you also have to realize those prices were given over four years ago. The world is changed a lot since then.
I also forgot to mention that this truck is $79,000. If you buy the regular edition the version I bought has provided me with up to the equivalent of $80,000 worth of power walls full self driving and more. I think people forget that itâs not just $100,000 truck across-the-board.
My friend parked his cybertruck in the back of a condo parking lot recently. And someone brought out their trash bags and set it front of the rear thinking it was a dumpster. I love it. No one has made a trash dumpster look this good before.
Statements that start with, "my friend..." usually pan out to be an attempt at artful funny fiction.
I love innovation, but poor quality at a high price is not for me !!! But if you're happy, then that's all that matters. I personally wouldn't want one !!!
Poor quality? What makes you think that? Itâs far from that I can tell you I own one. Higher quality than my GMC AT4 Duramax diesel. đ
For one thing, the finish is not good, even the sales woman said nothing they would do !!! The gaps aren't done well. Range is horrible. For 100k, no thanks !!!
@@kevinlucas8437 once again like I said stainless steel buff it out no big deal thatâs part of the advantage of this and remember theyâre only $79,000 unless you buy this addition which comes with a lot of extras including $80,000 worth of power wall energy for my home donât judge until you drive lol thanks for your comment though. Appreciate it super fun.
Your paying German prices and you got German build quality ......TRABANT .People accept doors that don't line up , poor panel gaps . Fools and their money are soon parted
The door is open look at the window. No panel gaps.
Itâs not German and it says the windows downđ
@@aydenmcvay917 Did i say it was German? I said German prices and by association Mercedes / BMW quality .Check out the run out on the panels , Trabant quality
@@davidturner6995the doors line up wym dawg
The doors arenât aligned đ
Lol that's crazy đ€Ł
Normal for a Tesla
The door is open look at the window itâs partially down.
I guess I smile when I see one of those road anchors... It's called laughing
Well done best vehicle on the planet!
I hope that the sharp dash board is soft. It has so many problems you need a book to list them all. Most ugly poorly designed vehicle in all of history.
I'm not exactly sure what you mean by sharp dashboard, but the dash is soft. There are no issues yet, and everyone I asked their thoughts on it actually liked how large it made the truck look. I also like the look of it. Not everyone will agree, and that's okay!
Did you ever figure out what the noises are from
Itâs coming from the driver's side of the backseat. Iâve been waiting for something else to come up before I start a service request, but nothing else has come up yet, and Iâve almost gotten used to it. I will address it and let you all know what I find.
I appreciate that Elon Musk is forward thinking, but at a point the power grid will not be able to handle it. If these mandates to go electric actually (and thatâs a big actually) come to fruition, then unless they have put the massive amount of money into the power grid upgrade then and not powering your car will be an afterthought.
I got my vin number should be picking up this week should I back off or should I pull the trigger I'm really nervous I been saving since 2019 can you give some advice should I wait or go for it I already put insurance on it also I'm having buyers remorse đ©
Having the cyber truck has always been a dream of mine so I would not know what to tell you. I donât think youâll be disappointed and if youâre going to wrap it then it takes away the stainless steel oddities if you will but itâs just different. I love my truck. I wouldnât trade it in for any other in the world right now. Best of luck in your decision-making. I know itâs not easy.
What are you really afraid of?
@@SoaringVideos I'm afraid of losing a lot of money I worked so hard saved up since 2019 Im also afraid they come out with a better version for cheaper price I hate losing money especially a lot lol my anxiety is through the roof but like you it's my dream I have everything cyber truck toys, shirts, collectables lol thank you for replying I enjoy your videos
@@SoaringVideos did you put a lot down payment I was but then I opted for minimum down payment with big monthly payment but I saved for it
@@SoaringVideos how much did you have to pay to do install the power share
@@amerb313 power share is free with the foundation edition as long as you qualify for certain things like being a homeowner so that they can add the electrical equipment needed. I was told itâs a $10,000 value if you were to purchase it separately also, I was told they will contact me soon after taking delivery so I am waiting to hear for that appointment.
If you wait over 4 years for an ugly, unsafe for others (not allowed to drive in Europe !!!! ) and overpriced vehicle, you need to be exited OR feel really stupid (on camera) .
