I'm all for supporting the business of my people but I'm sorry I got burned way too many times. I rather have my wife cook me some good haitian food as suppose to buying left over food turning sour like that last legume I bought. Plus they always on their phones. No thanks
@@RealLegoBeast I clearly understand your concern about Haitian restaurants by the way which is true in most cases, but from customer service to the food, and everything else is a top priority from our restaurant. You should definitely check us out if you are in the West Palm Beach area. Look us up Yolle Tropical Restaurant we just recently opened.

Your rant was real, though. Accept the customers as they come to grow that business. Criticize us non-fluent Creole speakers after hours. Get the money, positive reviews, and cross over appeal. 😎
Haitian food is very delicious 🤤😋. Some Haitian restaurant workers assume you speak creole because you come to a Haitian restaurant. I remember when I got my order and asked how much in english, the old woman cashier responded “onz senkant” ($11.50) in an aggressive tone. Excuse me lol.
Smh... it’s all in their tone ... I brought my Costa Rican friend w/ me for some food. His brother in law is also Haitian so he was craving griot...the lady took one look at us and just decided to choose “rude” as the mood for the day.
My sister experiences that bit of rudeness all the time.. it's the lack of connectivity that they sense from you which leads them to be rude, tho not excusable. My sister and I realized that they connect more with males then they do with females if the cashier is a female which most likely is the case. They are super nice to me as a male but rude to my sister even when she speaks creole.. it's the culture, hate it and love it! Next time, compliment their hair or nails or eyes and watch the change in morale. Note: customer service is a stressful field, it's hard having to deal with disrespectful customers and changing your mood to be sweet for the next.. give them the incentive to treat you well as a reminder by complimenting them in some way and they will snap out of their mood up until the person behind you reaches them and gives an attitude because he wanted his grìot wrapped in foil b4 they put it in the container.. yea, I witnessed that.. and the female had a hissy-fit!

It's kinda funny ordering Haitian food as a white person. The first time I went in I was legit asked "You know this is Haitian food?" They act confused as to why I'm even there, but I come back because the food is top tier.
But what if you actually don't speak Kreyol. I'm not Haitian, and they refused to speak to me in English. I just walked out! Never got any food from them and never went back! This was hilarious tho!
Google it and try your best? Lol. I manage a Haitian Cafe. My bosses are siblings and they are the sweetest, best people I've worked for in my whole life.

BIG FACTS!! This is why so many Haitian business go bankrupt after a few months. No customer service skills AT ALL!!!!!!!! Just today I had to take my money elsewhere, since these Haitian restaurants are very frenkan towards customers. SMH

Poor customer service IS a significant factor as to why a lot of mom & pop West Indian Restaurants including Haitian ones loose customers. I can say the same for Jamaican restaurants and I'm Jamaican. That and of course poor management and discrimination from lenders tend to contribute to many restaurants closing.
It's intimidating to try a new food especially if there isn't good customer service. Try the inner city. They're used to rude people. I bet they make a killing in New York.
