Love this chuck. I am using it for over 5years and it is the best so far I have ever used. Great engineering, that is what I appreciate Lezyne for. Too bad it was discontinued.
That chuck is a beautiful design, but unfortunately it's very persnickety. Sometimes, it snaps right on..then others, you have to monkey with it to attach.
This chuck design looks like nice, only downside that contrary to rumors in most cases it does not work. Well, they've finally retracted this awful contraption. I'd say this is leap forward.
What is the forward or backward position if the red part is not labeled? How would one know which is forward vs backward? I just purchased this pump and am finding it complicated to use.
@@Antilope-Outdoor Yes, in the ABS 2 Pro. Where is the bar that you mention located on the chuck? I figured out how to use it but I believe this pump would be better if it came with an instruction manual as it is not intuitive to use and I've worked at mulitple bike shops and coops. @@Antilope-Outdoor thank you. I have the pump described in the video with the abs2. Recently I purchased a tube with smooth presta valve, not threaded. I have since realized both the abs2 and abs1 must be threaded onto valve, won’t work on smooth valve. For whatever reason I’m finding it harder to find tubes with threaded stems lately (48mm length)

In the ABS-2 Pro? As you can see, the chuck consists of a larger bar and a smaller bar. The smaller bar is the front.

Will this chuck work on smooth presta valves?
The ABS2? It should, but it is no longer being produced, unfortunately. The current ABS pump head, the ABS-1 Pro, is also suitable for Presta valves
